You mean to say there's people out there that are yet to complete the game...?

Besides, it doesn't even happen in the game, it happens in the 10 or 20 min mini-video that was released as a side project. I thought it was common sense that everyone dies eventually? Spoiler: Altair is dead too.

Altair being dead is far from a spoiler. Shit was obvious a few minutes into AC1.

    Hence the sarcastic "spoiler".

Well, I'm sorry that your job brings you away from home for months at a time, but I didn't really think spoilers for previous games in a thread about AC3 was really necessary - especially since its pretty much common sense, what with Revelations being the last game about Ezio and all.

Besides, as I said, it's not even a spoiler for the game itself, it's from a separate mini-movie.

Wish I could find it, but I thought there was an interview a while ago where they've said they're wrapping up Desmond's story in III. However, since history is so vast, they could make 37 (I think that was the number they used) of these games, all with different characters, fights against templars, etc.

Way, way, way too soon. They are milking this franchise harder than Modern Warfare. AC is gonna burn out very quickly at this rate.

I have faith in Ubisoft. They have a formula that works. They just tend to implement new game elements that are hit or miss with the audience. I don't want them to turn into Square Enix. One new game every 2 years plus? No thank you.

Besides, this game is like Bioshock. I tend to play such games for the story. Yes I read wiki all day long too...

I completely disagree. I've waited for Brotherhood to go to 30 bucks and that was game was OK. They are trying to squeeze every last penny out of the franchise but they are murdering it with an axe at this point like they did for me with Price of Persia.

This one has been in development for right at three years, besides, they said they wanted to release one every year. At least it isn't entirely a repaste and new maps like call of duty. Each AC has had great improvements and new mechanics that carry it forward.

I gotta disagree with you too. It's exactly like COD. It had minor improvements ACII +. ACIII needs to have some drastic changes to keep the game franchise alive bit longer.

I disagree. AC2 was a great improvement over AC1; and Brotherhood is arguably the best in the series. Revelation was great, too, and saw some great improvements - like the Bomb making system and Grapple hook. Didn't like Defense system, but it has potential if they work a bit more on it.

Just how much change do you want? Do you need it to be an entirely different game in order for changes to matter?

I agree AC2 was great improvement over AC1. Arkham City was great improvement over Arkham Asylums. Brotherhood was the best I agree too, but it did not see drastic improvements. For me the series became boring at this point and I refuse to pay for than 20-30 bux. I'm just saying I'd like to be wowed with III.

Rumor: Assassin's Creed 3 takes place during American Revolution, stars Native American
According to promotional art images snagged by a Best Buy employee, Ubisoft's next entry in the Assassin's Creed series will take place during the American Revolution. The image [via Kotaku] features an assassin in front of the original Continental flag.

The hero appears to be Native American, but it's unclear. According to the source, the supposed star of Assassin's Creed 3 carries a tomahawk in one of his his unseen hands.

Ubisoft had previously announced Assassin's Creed 3 was due to hit store shelves by the end of October.
Seems like bullshit but ubidrmsoft is suppose to making some AC3 news in the coming days.

Only a few hours after we gave you the first look at what's likely to be Assassin's Creed III's new hero, website Game Informer appears to have accidentally displayed an image all but confirming its legitimacy.

The image, which seems to have gone up a little too early, has since been pulled down (but which was first captured and then uploaded by NeoGAF users). It shows the same character in our image from yesterday (though he's looking a lot younger), in the same hood design, along with another shot of an assassin tapping George Washington on the shoulder.

    Hey, George. What's up.

(OK, he's not really tapping, it looks more like he's pointing the way across the Delaware. It's also likely an in-house Photoshop on Game Informer's part, combining Ubisoft's character art with the classic painting).

Given the proximity to yesterday's leak and the fact it's pointing towards a "hub", Game Informer's usual means of highlighting content ties to a particularly big exclusive, all signs are indeed pointing to a big reveal for the game in the coming days. If not sooner.

Bear in mind, though, none of this - including the image here - is confirmed as being authentic, so exercise a pinch of caution.
