The episode where Bart goes to France and Bleeding gums Murphy and its lion king/Kimba joke 15 years before I'd get it. Also that for a show with as many recurring secondary characters that most of the episodes don't directly cross reference. The movie did, and it was well done.
Actually reading through Season 1 and 2, Marge used to be much more a bad ass. I know what happened, but realizing that kind of makes me sad. Marge used to be an excellent role model, with unspoken principles and the ability to recognize when she had made an error in judgement. Now she just exists as a foil to homer, or a plot thread for 'woman with too much stress'.
Edit: fucking found it, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer_of_4_Ft._2.
Homer buys a box of condoms, some alchohol, some dirty magazines and some fireworks at the Kwik-E-mart knock off. When they come home marge looks in the bag, and says "I don't know what you have planned for tonight, but I'm not sure I'm interested". Many scenes later, the next morning shows a very happy looking Marge making breakfast.
