But is it as bad as FFXIV 1.0?
But is it as bad as FFXIV 1.0?
paaaaaaaaasssssssssss. I'll keep toiling in Skyrim without the sub fee.
In my opinion ffxiv 1.0 was pretty but hollow game. There just wasn't much to do in it. In ESO there is alot to do but the group aspect just isn't really there except for the 1 time you run the dungeons every 5 levels or so. Having not made it to "end game" i can see how there won't be much there but such is a launch. I agree with the wait until its F2P that everyone is doing. It's just not worth the sub at this time.
So not as bad but not a towering pillar of awesomeness either.

Reports have surfaced of a since deleted update to the official The Elder Scrolls Online FAQ pointing to a delay for the console versions. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players were previously scheduled to receive the game in June, but it could be up to six months longer before that happens.
The information was captured by a Reddit user before it was changed on the official site.
When does The Elder Scrolls Online officially launch?
The Elder Scrolls Online officially launched on April 4, 2014 on PC and Mac. While it has become clear that our planned June release of the console versions isn't going to be possible, we have made great progress, we have concluded that we'll need about six more months to ensure we deliver the experience our fans expect and deserve. For additional information on the delay, please see this blog post (link).
A screenshot of the FAQ with the language was also posted. Given the indication of a more in-depth blog post, it seems that this update may have gone live early. Joystiq dug into the Google cache, confirming the language did appear on the site (and that the screenshot isn't a clever forgery). The page does not currently reflect a delay, and we’ve reached out to Bethesda for clarification.
In terms of content, no.
In terms of 1.0. was 2010 and this is 2014 and is still making those kinds of stupid mistakes? Yes, this game is far, far worse than 1.0. on that front.
Just like 1.0 should have learned from Age of Conan, ESO had a ton of shitty games before it to learn from.

Bethesda offering in-game incentives to players who have been subbing for at least 3 months
http://www.vg247.com/2014/08/25/elde...yalty-rewards/The Elder Scrolls Online is the Elder Scrolls MMO that came out about four month ago. Publisher and developer Bethesda wants make sure you keep paying the monthly subscription by offering some in-game incentives.
The developer wrote a blog post explaining all the details of the offer which starts rolling out in September.
Players with three months of cumulative subscription time (not including the 30 days that came with your box or any other free game time) are eligible to receive the program rewards, the first of which is a vanity pet – a High Hrothgrar wraith.
Anyone who reaches the three month subscriber status will automatically receive their rewards.
Bethesda says it will keep expanding the program, revealing the reward for those who have subscribed for six months, soon.

If anyone deserves a reward, it's people who have stayed subbed to this game.
I have been playing this game for the last week, its at update #5. Heard nothing but bad things about it.
But me and my wife have been having a great time playing this game. I assume they either fixed a ton of issues or we are just crazy.
I re subbed to FFXIV last month and hated it more then when I left.
Decided I would try ESO before totally giving up on MMOs (I am getting old ), I don't regret it at all. Most fun I have had on a new MMO in 7 years.
The hammer aproacheth.
Console release delayed, again, to Early 2015

I'M SO SURPRISED
http://www.gamesindustry.biz/article...cription-model
When Bethesda confirmed that its Elder Scrolls Online would employ a monthly subscription model, game director Matt Firor claimed that "Going with any other model meant that we would have to make sacrifices and changes we weren't willing to make." A little less than a year after launch, Bethesda is apparently willing to make some changes, as the company today announced it would be dropping the subscription model beginning with the upcoming Tamriel Unlimited update.
Beginning March 17, PC or Mac players who purchased The Elder Scrolls Online will be able to play as much as they want without paying a monthly fee. The game will also make its console debut on June 9 when it arrives for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. While Bethesda will not charge a monthly subscription fee for console players, they will still need to have a subscription to Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus, respectively.
