Windows 7 Build 7601 Not Genuine

so in an act of benevolence, i installed some windows updates and to my horror, i found out that i accidentally installed KB971033 (though i'm 100% positive i already hid the update long ago)
already uninstalled and hid the update and tried some windows loader 2.1.2 thingy but i still get prompts

Anyways, is there any way to make my copy genuine? really trying to avoid a fresh install since i don't have a external HDD to backup my buttloads of music/movie/games but if worst comes to worst, i have a rainy day $100 saved up

soo i did a sfc /scannow and now theres a message in the corner telling me its not genuine again

removewat is now outdated. You need to restore wat (that's an option of the removewat program), and then run the loader located here. http://forums.mydigitallife.info/thr...se-information

warning, it may set off some antivirus alarms for some programs, but that's the thing you want. Activates windows 7 perfectly and is the current method of doing so (assuming you don't want to just buy a key).

I am having this same problem. Long story short, idiot friend got on my computer and decided to update date it for equally stupid reasons after telling him my computer seemed slow. Someone PM me the steps needed to get rid of it or just use the link in the above post?
