Disney XD's "Marvel Universe"

Avengers: EMH just started season 2 and the hulk still ties hawkeye for the best thing about this show. The way they handle the hulk as somehow functioning on a more coherent level makes the nature of his character all the more hilarious. Nothing better than the thing playing a full house in poker, only for the hulk to wordlessly jump the table and tackle him. If you havent watched the first season, I won't spoil it by telling you what season 2 is about but it's going to be something that lasts the whole seasonm for sure. Dr. Doom makes his premiere in the first episode of season 2 and singlehandedly styles on the avengers and the fantastic four combined. Homie definitely just stopped mid-fight, walked to his throne, and sat down. It would have only been better if he said "This game is over".

As for ultimate spider-man, it's taking an interesting concept and running with it. Basically the avengers training that young peter was subjecting himself to (that ended with him dead 6 issues later) is the opening premise of the show. Black Nick Fury is attempting to create a younger group that will eventually be the avengers in the future, with Danny Rand, Luke Cage, Sam Alexander as Nova (Instead of Richie, which is some bullshit) and White Tiger making up his team mates/highschool class mates/ whatever. Aside from that, it's attempting to borrow from both 616 and the ultimate universe, with previews showing that eventually peter will be given the iron spider costume, but aunt may being younger, in her late 50's / early 60's. Curt Conners is working as shield's tech guy and Norman/Otto are working together in the capacity that they do in the ultimate titles. Frightful Four made up the villains for the first 2 episodes, and the comedy is pretty hilarious as of now.

As for the shows in question:

Avengers: EMH was really good, no surprise there as season 1 was pretty awesome
Ultimate Spidey: I enjoyed it, however a young Daniel Rand who apparently is already the IF as a teen kind of bugged me, Sam Alexander being the Nova they chose also seemed rather wtf.

I'll keep watching though, they teased some pretty cool stuff for later in the season like Taskmaster and the Iron Spider suit.

Yeah taskmaster looks like it's gonna be a good episode. Iron spider is interesting if it ties into EMH or something. Don't see why it would be necessary based on how it's going now. And yeah danny being a 16 year old master of martial arts is kind of weird. Luke cage has been the funniest one aside from spidey for now.

Excluding the AIM episode, this season has been pretty awesome. Jennifer Hale(FemShep) as Ms. Marvel is too awesome.

Iron Spider episode was pretty okay, only way that costume was going to get any play outside of making a civ war arc.

Wow, I had to tsearch s02 due to how I don't know what channel it runs on and I don't have cable anyways. But, I was surprised that season 2 is only a few weeks in considering I saw the entire first season mid-last year. How are people supposed to legally support commercial shows like this if they follow BBC (we'll give you an episode when we feel like it with varying season lengths) programming etiquette?

I keep forgetting to catch the Avengers (even since the first season) but I've seen a few of the new Spidey cartoons and I'm loving it so far. It's nice they're trying something different instead of rehashing the same old spidey stories we've seen time and time again. Though young aunt may just throws me off, it just don't seem right.

Is EMH worth checking out? I generally don't Tend to like the cartoons, but Ultimate Spider Man amuses me.

EMH imo, is a lot better than Ultimate Spidey. EMH actually feels like they're trying to play out comic arcs, USM has a LOT of changes in comparison to the books.

if you have netflix, EMH season 1is on there. Season 2 episode 1 is the most awesome thing ever, if only for Dr. Doom being portrayed in his full glory.
