EDIT: If you're complaining that there aren't HUGE DRAGONS at lower levels or in every zone then I'm going to just call you retarded. Each zone seems to have at least 1-2 events that end in fighting a large boss. Norn starting area had Svanir Marauder and Giant Ice Elemental. Human has Shadow Behemoth. Dunno about Charr.

Charr area has that cool cyclops wrecking the city lol. But why would you want all the good shit at level 1? there is obviously a learning curve too. Dragons appear around level 40 ish the little ones like shatterer and the undead minion and well the cap is 80. Also what game you know allows you to fight epic shit at level 10 already, this one does.

The overflow system needs work, and a Dev who's been chatting in the Norn starting area here on Bay has said repeatedly they're not happy with it.

Mob scaling is also like 10x higher than it was in the closed beta. They probably overtuned a bit too much.

Biggest complaint has to be that local chat in WvW displays for all 3 teams. Thats just stupid and nobody seems to realize it when they are coordinating attacks. And if they do, nobody uses /team. Maybe its just this server, but I didn't see any /team chat at all and everybody just used /local the entire time. Getting a bad server for WvW on release is going to be infuriating for me.

I've mostly been dicking around at low levels, around 1-15, just to get a feel for the game without soaking up all the lore, but tonight I decided to just take things very, very slowly, to see how they've crafted the world, not so much the engine. I went full-blown Immersion Whore, and I came away with it impressed.

Take, for instance, the simple Shaemor Garrison. Nothing special, right? A place to do a quest or two and move on. I decided to park it there within the garrison for a half hour, to see what I could see, and what I saw made me a very happy man. Outside of the usual invasion quest, I found quite a bit of immersion simply from taking in the sights. After the successful defense of the garrison, the front gates were destroyed. No less than 3 groups of NPCs all commented on the state of the gate and the victorious battle, all using different quotes and voices. After 3 minutes or so, two supply convoys entered the gates, escorted by guards, and two NPCs loaded "cargo" from the back of the pack bull. Shortly after, two repair NPCs moved to the gate, and began hammering at the ground. Shortly later, the gate was repaired and two other random soldier NPCs commented on the freshly-repaired gate as they walked by. Another solider then came to my character, who was sitting in a corner admiring the night sky, saluted, and thanked me for helping to defend the garrison.

None of this was done by any player; all of it was by NPCs. For a MMO, this blew my mind. Some of this isn't even in Skyrim, a completely single-player affair, that is largely praised for having an immersive environment. This was one single area on a blip on the map; probably .03% of the total map.

Color me fucking impressed. I'm going to enjoy this game terribly.

Not seeing any comments on how F'ING BEAUTIFUL the game is. Every environment looks very natural. That's the one thing I could not be more thrilled about. I first became excited about Guild Wars 2 because of ArenaNet's principles, art direction and enthusiasm. All of that has panned out and, hopefully, will continue to do so. Everything else is just sweet, delicious icing on an already amazing cake.

I don't know what I'm going to do this summer. Between TERA, which is fucking awesome in a group, GW2, which is fucking awesome at any time (I made an Engineer that looks exactly like Sazh, which is also awesome), and D3, which certainly will be awesome... good gravy. Just when I start getting fit and firm, the best summer for swords-and-sorcery gaming in probably a decade comes out.

Had a ridiculous amount of fun doing 2 jump puzzles in Liessa Plateau. The tower by the ghosts and then the one to get the skill point at the south end. Holy shit why is that so fucking fun.

They need to show how to obtain different pets. I brought up a ranger to level 15 and couldn't, for the life of me, figure out how to either tame or unlock any other pets. I wound up having to PVP just so I could dick around with a few, and ended up liking the bear since it could take so many more hits than the cat, which pretty much got its ass kicked on 1v1 an 2v2 fights. The cats seem undertuned, though I wasn't able to see just how much raw damage they were putting out compared to the bear.

Can tame animals that are labelled "juvenile", then you walk up to them and use the interact button (F), new pet get. Will stay in your list too, so won't have to get it again.
