In regards to THF TP sets, I'm currently using:

Mandau / Twashtar / Raider's Bommerang / xxx
Raider's +2 / Rancor / Brutal / Suppanomi
Thaumas / Nomkahpa / Epona's / Rajas
Atheling / Twilight / Thaumas / Assassin's +2

Caps haste, and I'm pretty sure it's the best available.

May as well compare 99 Caladbolg vs 99 OAT. I mean, 90 -> 95 is a much huger step than 95 -> 99 is. If you're gonna do 1500 plates, you may as well do 60 riftcinder, too.

But, I seem to recall the consensus being Ragnarok or OAT GS > Caladbolg (not to mention being significantly cheaper).

Thanks. I have 90 Cala but i figured with current playtime and limited ingame income it would be likely more achievable to do OAT to 99 than get passed the 1500 plate empy stage, unless it was really worth my while to do so.

I would personally use Thaumas over Nomkahpa because for fodder mobs you are probably in situation where that 12DEX gives you a lot crit rate and for stronger mobs its +15accuracy.

3%DA is really not much for THF equipped like that ( its only 1.32% increase with /war and 1.39% with other subs )

Haidate with Crit Dam +4 VS Crit Dam +2, AGI+6 for Blade: Hi? Took me forever to get the latter and I'm raging pretty hard at the Crit damage amount I got. Fuck I hate this augment system.

Nefarious Collar + Rancorous Mantle should beat Rancor/Atheling.

I would personally use Thaumas over Nomkahpa because for fodder mobs you are probably in situation where that 12DEX gives you a lot crit rate and for stronger mobs its +15accuracy.

Maybe even AF3+2 hands and uncapping haste too. I seem to remember they pulled ahead of Brego on spreadsheet in that very set, and brego are pretty similar to thaumas except for the 11dex (3str/9acc/3haste 5str/9acc/4haste). Not saying they're definitely better, but they could be so might be worth double checking.

I was under the impression that Koga+2 generally beat out Iga+2 for NIN TP. I just ran it through Mote's spreadsheet and it seems that Iga almost always wins out. Is there a certain amount of haste needed elsewhere to make up for the lost amount from the siwitch? or am I missing something

For Rudra's, STR Thokcha or 100 TP bonus dagger for offhand. If situational, which for each situation for both THF & DNC. Thanks.

You're missing something, probably had marches active at which point Koga +2 just lowers your TP return.

I haven't heard much about the worth of Tiercel after Koga+2 came out. I assume the extra 1 haste isn't worth losing Crit rate outside or Crit damage inside.

Hecates unless said mob resists out the ass. Strophadic is better for Meteor, however.

Also, for DNC TP, AF3+2 Body+AF3+2 Feet vs Thaumas Body+Feet? (DEX+9 DW+10 vs DA+6 TA+3 QA+3 Atk+14 Acc+12)
