Sword Art Online Ep2

This went even better than first episode. The direction and layout in the second episode is really strong, which really helps to sell many of the scenes.This is definitely a series worthy of the Fate/Zero and Nisemonogatari time slot. also The strong pacing, action, voice acting, and more fleshed out visuals really enhanced the storytelling. The chemistry between the two leads is portrayed very well.

Can't wait for next episode, when the characters start getting fleshed out.

Like Asuna was supposed to have max level cooking and she was supposed to cook a super rare rabbit ingrediant that Kirito had when they met then they were supposed to eat it together at Asunas house before teaming up. She was also supposed to be a person of importance, known for her strength and beauty by everyone in sao. This anime is being rushed and all of the backstory and other important events are being left out.

She was also supposed to be a person of importance, known for her strength and beauty by everyone in sao. Alright, what's going on here with that transformation sequence at the end.

Did the animators decide to take a hit of LSD before they finished the episode? That shit puts SHAFT to shame.

The stuff you are talking about happened 2 years into the story, when they already were on floor 76. This episode showed stuff just 1 month in. I didn't read further than the rabbit cooking thing so I don't know if they go back in time, or is anime adding its own content, but you can't say they rushed and skipped stuff when it's supposed to happen later on on the timeline

Yeah i goofed up there, the anime is indeed adding it's own content in the form of filling in missing floors. For some reason i thought they were on the higher level floors as the events in the manga sort of coordinated with the manga like Kirito and Asuna fight a boss together after meeting eachother for the first time. So the anime isn't skipping 70 floors like the manga did, my mistake.

The first novel was written for a 250 page light novel contest and the writer didn't think ahead. The Sword Art Online book centers around just him and Asuna and wraps the story up quickly. Due to its success, he wrote more books and to fill in different side stories, characters, etc. If it jumped to the 74 level content in episode 2, then we would have a Haruhi like anime, with shit out of order.

Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse Ep3

I'm a little disappointed in this episode, although it wasn't really bad or anything. It just felt draggy, and after the previous episode I was really expecting more and I guess the story is kinda moving forward, with the introduction of the actual cast. I just hope doesn't take them long to start to grow the characters as we watch thestory progress.

on the upside I do like the male protagonist and OP/ED.

I'm really enjoying more shows than I thought I would this season. I originally only planned to watch two or three shows, but I've picked up eight shows so far. I'm enjoying Sword Art Online and Natsuyuki Rendezvous most out of the ones I have picked up.

Neither of the boards were like they are now before it aired.

So yes, it did. I don't think this will be anywhere as large, but if R3 did come out, it would be like an atomic bomb exploded on the anime community.

New Dragon Ball Film Set Between 517th & 518th Manga Chapters

This year's 33rd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Saturday that the upcoming Dragon Ball film will be set between the 517th and 518th installments of Akira Toriyama's original manga. Specifically, it is set during the "lost decade" of story time after the end of the battle with Majin Buu. Kuririn, Piccolo, Vegeta, and other familar characters will appear in the film. The film is not a spinoff, but a story in the official history of Dragon Ball.

Akira Toriyama has been deeply involved in the film's production from the early screenwriting stages. Masahiro Hosoda (Dragon Ball Z episode director, Nangoku Shounen Papuwa-kun) is directing at Toei off a script by Yūsuke Watanabe (live-action 20th Century Boys trilogy, Gantz, Bloody Monday, Future Diary).

Hyouka 13

KyoAni is truly master at expressing emotions through animation. Their timing is unreal. At this point, it doesn't matter whether the story is good or not. I can watch their shows and have a good time just enjoying the animations. Love seeing the flustered looks of Ibara and Chitanda.
