Well I am glad I couldn't play for a bit, was about to drop 5k for an Eye Opener.. thanks to the drop increase I ended up coming out with one for 500g flat. Only cost about 300g more to get it +6, and got the T13 sitting in the bank. Someone made a good point that T13 would be a lot more pricey to enchant. Now time to reroll.... o.o

Some T13 weapons are near the 1K ranges now on my server.. while weapons are going to the 100g ranges O_o (kinda funny some enigmatic weapons are cheaper then non enigmatic weapons now, and some T13 weapons cheaper then T12)

At the current prices (assuming most servers are following the same pattern), might as well get a fanesteel weapon while it's cheap. You're going to need it to do Argon queen anyway if you ever want an iron badge set.

I was able to Masterwork my weapon in 4-5 tries, but my gloves took 42 attempts. If you had to guess, how many attempts do you think you made on each of your Masterworks? I'm trying to figure out if I was lucky with my weapon or just really unlucky with my Gloves lol.

Lucky with weapon. Most people go at least 25+ scrolls per piece from what I've seen. Took 27 for my weapon, 2 for body, and at something like 35 so far on hands.

I got pretty lucky in terms of masterworking; my weapon took around 25, by body 4 or 5, and my feet 2. But I have a Priest friend who's currently 0/142 on getting his feet to masterwork.

After another 30 tries and failing just my first damn +9 weapon (and a couple dozen fails on my armors, so well over 0/65 on the weapon, and another 0 for 60 on the rest of my armor that's also not +9), I just cancelled my sub. I can't take it any more.

Taking a game this good that actually requires some skill to play well, and then throwing in 100% RNG for upgrades ... is fucking stupid. I shouldn't be able to spend 30k on upgrades while some lucky little shit spends 500g for the exact same thing.

If they make enchanting less stupid, I'd like to come back. But at the moment, it's just fucking irritating and not worth the time wasted farming over and over and over and over for no gain.

im not ready to break just yet. Seeing as i run a guild

half of my scrolls where donated to me from guildmates so i haven't spent much in terms of money. Just wasted lots of resources that could be better spent else where.

I will masterworks this disc even if it kills me. It's more a fucking challenge at this point, and challenge fucking accepted.

RNG is just so brutal sometimes though; an update on my priest friend: his boots are now 0/243 on masterworking, half of those scrolls were bought (so roughly 120*300 = 36,000g there), then he's 0/40 on getting his Nightshift from +11 to +12, about another half of which was bought fodder (so 20*900g/each = 18,000g, + 40*13 (Master Alkahest) = 520*30/alkhaest = 15,600g).

36,000 + 18,000 + 15,600 = approximately 70,000g into the void. I feel so bad for the guy.

But yeah the RNG in this game is such a big limiter to your advancement, especially among the general populace that expects a certain ilvl for content (that shit keeps inflating upwards to boot...). I went 1/32 just from +8 > +9 on my t12 body, sitting at 0/38 to +8 my gloves and still have yet to see any t13 enig cloth/disc drop from the dungeons. At least I can always get the crafted pieces but failing enchants doesn't lend well to saving money. I'm still enjoying the rest of the game however, still fun to play.

At a certain point you have to say, okay I can handle BT/FoK HM with this gear. I can either go from +7 to +9 or I can save my gold up and work on my craftable items. A lot of people get obsessed with getting from +8 to +9 when it doesn't do that much. Unless you get your 2x skill at +9.
