As some of you know, I've been talking about this for a while. Let me start from the beginning.

This is basically a way for people to use the remodeling system in an informed, mistake-free fashion. To do this people need to know what looks are available for their race and gender. And they need to know which templates match the desired look. Seems simple enough, but for those who have tried, it has, so far, been too much hassle for the reward. I'm trying to change that.

Let me be up front and say this is a larger project than I had imagined. Getting all the information has been time-consuming as well as costly (in-game currency). Luckily, it hasn't been too expensive yet, and I am willing to continue my efforts until its finished.

Therefore, I hereby request help. Yes, that's right. This will go much faster with help. I can do it on my own, but you'd have to wait a LONG time before its done. To speed it up I need volunteers to do a few simple things for me.

Mostly, I need people who have uModel (or are willing to download it) and the collection of armor renders (from the Russian site or elsewhere). Then I need them to match up each render with the design in uModel.

For example, HighElf_M_L.gpk is the library housing High Elf Leather files. When you double click HighElf_M_L08_BodySkel (Skeletal Mesh file type) it will pop open a viewer and you can see what it looks like.

Step 1 - Match the looks with the renders by using a image editing program (something simple like InfranView will work perfectly. Its also free).

Step 2 - Re-save the image with a file name identifying that its design #08 and put it in png format. Something like HEM_L08.png will do fine.

Step 3 - Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all armors in the race and gender you're working on.

Step 4 - When your race and gender is complete, compress the identified renders (.rar preferred, but .zip will do) and send them to me via PM or email.

It really isn't too complicated, just time consuming.

As for the final result? Well I'm not quite sure on that. I'm open to ideas, if anyone has them. Maybe a wiki of some kind? A flash program would work too, I guess.

If anyone wants to donate crafting scrolls to me, send me a whisper in the game, and I'll tell you which ones I need. These scrolls are critical to how I figure out what armors look like what. I shouldn't need runes and stuff, but if you wish to donate, I will not reject you.

And finally, if anyone has an image of all the icons of any type of armor (heavy, leather, cloth) I will need those as well. So far I have most of the hauberk icons, but am missing the rest. Here's an example:

I don't have uModel but I want to help. It seems you have to pay for it after 30 days. I've downloaded the trial, but do you know a free alternative I could use instead?

Mmm, I'm not sure if this will help you, or not, but so far as I know, all armor templates, that can be used, to remodel your armor, come from three sources:

1. Token Vendors in the main cities.
2. Re-Model Vendors, in the main cities.
2. Craft Recopies

With the exception of one armor type each, the crafting, token, and re-modle vendors all share the same models, albeit with different colors. The one exception is a higher level recipe, for each type of armor: Cloth, Leather, and Plate. I believe the unique models start at lvl 52 whites, and are repeated at least as a lvl 58 gold, according to the cloth I have seen. Using the Token and Remodel vendor, you can preview the armor by CRTL + R.Clicking, but only if you wear the same armor type as you are previewing.

Since crafting if broken, and in-game images are probably hard to come by, here are the unique crafted models, for each race/armor type:

Unless you're looking for a specific color, on a base model, the above links are the only different looks, obtained through crafting, and should be lvl 52 whites or 58 golds, though I doubt anyone has made the iLVL 58 golds. Since you can re-dye any armor, I'm not sure if the slight color variations you can receive, depending on the base model's color, is an algorithm you're interested in doing.

As for a further break down of the Dungeon/Reputation Specific models, of which there are no remodel armor available:

F_17 - Labyrinth of Terror Normal Mode
F_18/a - Ebon Tower Normal Mode. Not sure why they show two color variations.
F_19 - 21 - One is the Nexus Reputation Robe, one is the Enigmatic T13, and the other is unknown to me, but my current guess is Battleground armor.

Thanks to Xiani for informing me that all renders have been updated with the new 19-21 armors on that Russian website. They have been compiled by Pyree in the Special Medias Compilation Thread first post.

So far, I've been able to craft templates for 1-16. If all the L52-L58 armors use the same pattern (16) this might be a shorter project than I thought. I am seriously hoping for templates for 17-21, but I fear they are not available in the game yet.

I was thinking about a similar project too. But since I have very little free time this period it remained just a though, so I was very happy to see that someone is trying to make this happen!

I really enjoy TERA and remodeling is a feature I love in MMOs. I kinda like the idea that the crafted gear are eligible as templates and it is the main reason I'm leveling a profession.
But the fact that you cant preview a crafted item before you craft it (and damn some of them need a hell lot of materials) is a turnoff for me.

So I fully support your project! Thank you for doing it!
