    Glyph Builds

I've been somewhat curious of how people are glyphing at 60 on any and all classes (since I'll probably end up playing all of them anyways). Only found one other place posting glyph builds and most of them seem to be really questionable/stupid.

http://teracodex.com/glyphbuilder is the best glyph builder I've seen so far for linking them here, but if there are better ones out there, use that instead.

Until the rare glyphs are available, try and post ones without using those if possible. =x

Any and all advice/suggestions is welcomed. I can't imagine mine is the best since I haven't really done much at 60 yet.

edit: Just a warning, but the builds by me (besides Sorcerer) are just there to fill gaps or add more possible builds. I haven't played those classes much so they are probably wrong/dumb. I'll fix them when I've played those classes more.

My build for Lancer. Pretty much full threat and safety. With rare glyphs the build would change. There are also glyphs I'm interested in trying out, but cost a lot of points to do so.

No teleport jaunt reset? I fucking love that glyph & will never go without it.

Teleport jaunt reset is even more amazing than dodge roll reset for slayer, and I wouldn't go without that either.

I just can't get myself to use Iron Will that often to justify glyphing it . Maybe when it is glyphed it will be better, but using a skill, to absorb 1 hit that will most likely hit you while you are using the skill just doesn't make sense to me. Fully glyphed how much does it absorb?

I think this is my lancer build and I'm very happy with it. The 35% chance to remove cool down on debilitate is the only one that I'm up in the air on. I chose it because I use debilitate a lot because I found that it actually does good damage too for a lancer.

I use it a LOT while soloing or taking on a group of trash mobs, and I didn't think it was useful either for a while. But that 1 hit (on a boss, several on weaker mobs) often means a lot for being able to taunt, attack or generally get more reckless while not taking damage.

It mostly fits my playstyle, I imagine when I start getting rare glyphs this will change. I used to glyph second wind cooldown when my HP wasn't that much higher. I still do for solo just so I can get reckless and take damage without losing speed.

Fully glyphed at 60 I think Iron Will absorbs 12000 damage or so.

It eliminates MP cost, not cooldown. With that said, duration is the only worthwhile buff simple because you don't need to keep spamming debilitate on bosses to keep them weak. But yes, MP regen on basic attack is great (I use that sometimes) as well as powerlinked shield bash.

I spam iron will as soon as it is up every time. I have been fighting BAMs and stuff with no healer though so I play it safe a lot. It's really helpful for minions when they get behind you before my sorcs blow them up, as well.

  9. #9

Yeah, it's a good skill. Glyphed it lasts 15 seconds on a 20 second cooldown, so as long as the effect doesn't break it can be active most of the time.

Doing BAMs with no healer it is an invaluable skill. I'm not sure how it changes for hardmode but it's very good for everything else.

This is more my opinion, but I think getting rid of your Flame Barrage glyph and getting rid of the Glyph of Sharing for Fireblast for Fireblast's Glyph of Impulsion and Magma Bomb's Glyph of Persistence is better. What it comes down to is do you wanna do more dmg on tash packs as opposed to saving MP on boss and I like spamming the proc from Magma Bomb during boss fights when Fireblast is down.

    Sorc Glyphs:

    Using this for general purpose.

Mana Infusion doesnt seem worth it for 200mp @ 4 pts

Fireblast Brilliance(-250 mp@4) vs Implosion(30% free@6): Brilliance is better bang for the buck, should get both for pve.

Mana Barrier: Energy + Lingering gives the shield only a 5 sec downtime.

Never seem to get only 1 free Magma bomb, always 0 or 10. With celerity its fun :D

Would love to a glyph tab slot for pvp and a reason to really use it.

I think I have the opposite happen most of the time. It's generally 2 often and never anymore then 2. RNG!

    That's my current. The differences:

No mana infusion (figure that 4 points gets you 240 mp, and I only really ever use it when it's in my celerity rotation due to the long cast time).
I do use flaming barrage, but its only 150, and I don't use it as often as void/blast, so I took that out.
I added fireblast 30% no chance to use MP (30% of the time equates to roughly 400mp per cast over a fight).
I only used the one cooldown glyph on hailstorm.
I also love me some teleport jaunt cooldown glyph.

In the event that I ever get the green glyphs, I could see adding either the other hailstorm (mp consumption down) or magma bomb CD reset.

Are green glyphs already in game? I haven't noticed any, so if they're around they're hiding. But, I vaguely remember something about them not being in-game yet?

I'm pretty sure they are from the Training Grounds instance which we don't have access to? I know I picked up a quest for it in Kaitor, but it wouldn't let me complete it anywhere.

Also, I really appreciate all the Sorceror glyph ideas, definitely makes sense why some of mine are wrong. =x

I wouldn't say "wrong". There are different playstyles.

That said, I have tried to go about setting mine up from a pure PvE dps perspective (namely for the balder final boss). To that end, lower cooldowns on the spells I use most (like void), lower mp on them (fireblast and void), and better damage (barrier strength glyph) are what I'm after. Celerity glyph is a must-have, obviously.

I glyphed mindblast duration for when I get ganked, and for when I need to CC (rarely, but does happen). Hailstorm I use semi-frequently, and I'd like the other glyph for it, but there's not enough points .

Do I assume correctly that a lingering-glyphed barrier doesnt' make your str bonus extend?

As the glyphs that proc other glyphs only proc the stock version, I assume the same.

The key ones, I'd say are celerity (no brainer must have), teleport jaunt (Far too useful for mobility & chasing or escaping pvp), and shared fireblast since as a sorc, your the go-to-guy for wiping out hoards of minions and AoE, and this helps with that immensely. Rest are all playstyle but several mp reductions are also highly recommended.

More or less this. For instance, I don't know that I'd focus that much on void pulse if I was going PvP build since you have to either get in somebody's face, or get extraordinarily lucky to hit them with it. I guess you could technically sleep somebody, release a pulse from 12m out, and hit them with a celerity'd fire blast right as it hits. Still, that'd be pushing it, and it's likely they'd escape one or the other. You'd be better glyphing barrier more, and probably some of the buffs on the recover move. I'd also do both hailstorms since that's a great way to slow down annoying melee classes that you'll be kiting.
