    Its looking like a Xanatos Gambit by Alec (basically set up exactly like in Gargoyles lol), but I dont get how the present day events have been set in motion from the future, yet them killing that one dudes grandma before his birth didnt have any effect?

    2 Possibilities exist that can allow for that when resolving grandfather paradoxes where you still exist

    1) You don't instantaneously ripple you out of existence. i.e. you exist because you went back in time and witnessed it, yet you were never born. You just remain a paradox in existence. Sorta like that time ship in Star Trek Voyager that just sits outside time ... or like being in "It's a Wonderful Life" except you exist for no linearly explainable reason. In this case the future is changable, but you don't have to worry about the repercussions.

    2) Multiple realities. Either the act of travelling back in time puts you in a new copy on arrival (hence you're not killing your grandfather, just the one in the new universe) ... or the act of killing him causes the creation of a new copy at the time of the paradox. Hence the future of the new universe is changable.


    Don't assume #2 won't work just because theres already an apparent time loop ... Universe A can lead to small changes in B to small changes in C ... etc ... all while looking relatively identical to neighboring universes.

    The minute they went back in time they already changed the future, whether or not they actually change anything. This by itself creates an alternate reality where he is still born, so he can't disappear. He simply won't be born in the new universe.

    Unless they're going with a "The future can't be changed" kind of deal, in which case the universe will find another way for him to be born. Which, I suppose, is what they wanted to see - moreso to make sure she can't do the same to them to make them disappear from this timeline.

    Either way; I loved the finale. I hope they pick up a second season so it doesn't have to end like that ~.~I want to know! Personally, I don't believe Alec supports Kagami's plans; I think it's a "Greater good" kind of deal, where he needed him to go back in time with her to stop something.

    Edit: I just thought of something - didn't Kagami say to Alec that "You told me about this moment where I spoke to you" or something like that? Which would hint that they are, indeed, the same universes?
