I'm beginning to get the vibe that smoking man Alec is the real guy in charge of Liberate. Which is fucked up since it's a terrorist organization set up to fuck up his own company. I haven't even remotely figured out Escher and his people yet, or what they're really about.

Also I'm 100% calling Kiera's husband being part of some conspiracy or other. My latest thought is that Kiera is Alec's daughter and the husband was a plant to keep her on a certain path.

Also, I'm pretty sure Alec isn't the Leader of liberate, but is fully willing to use them to change the mistakes he's made that led to the current future (corporations taking over because things got fucked up with the government). He has a thing for Kiera because Kiera's already been in the past once (Time Paradox!). Escher is probably more interested in keeping the timeline as they don't know what will happen to their company if Alec doesn't do what led to the current future timeline. Kiera's husband could be on either side right now; not enough info to make a guess.

So I'm beginning to suspect that future Alec is actually just a puppet for Escher and his people, locked away in that tower of his. The future world is all Alec's tech, but how that tech is being used isn't what he intended. All the while Escher chills in the background.

I'm curious to see if Cameron and Liberate will work together later on to take down Escher since he seem to be a potential common enemy for the both of them.
