Lame if so, he should be here working on SMT IV, these new demon designs are pretty awful. Thankfully I saw the fiends are already in the game so I probably won't even have to use them.Let's hope it's because they're both busy working on Persona 5.

Someone was kind enough to add subtitles to the trailer for those unpracticed in moonspeak
Dat Jiraya VA. I really hope they leave in the option for JP VO. Probably not, considering it's a cartridge, but they can fit a lot in those things. Love the music. That was always one of the best parts of any Persona game. It's Atlus,, so it will most likely reach us!
fuck. yes. I enjoyed Strange Journey and all, but this looks much more like a numbered SMT game.
If anyone in here hasn't played SMT III, go, NOW. I am excite for SMT IV.
hard mode onry. it makes the game so much more fun!

Found this.. made me laugh at how ridiculous Nocturne's dungeons sound but it's all fucking true, even the elevator puzzle.
We will never see anything on this level of creativity again unless SMT IV proves to be a very worthy title.

Getting a strong World of Balance/World of Ruin vibe from the very different landscapes. The Black Samurai is an interesting figure to say the least.
http://gematsu.com/2013/01/shin-mega...-organizationsThe official website for Shin Megami Tensei IV was updated today with new story details and characters.
The main characters of Shin Megami Tensei IV live in East Mikado, where the separation of social classes is clear. Government and intellectual workers are high ranking Luxuries, while farmers and traders are low ranking Casualties. Luxuries seem to treat Casualties poorly, but the latter lives without complaints of their difference in class. Only when one of the Casualties is chosen to be a Samurai can they become one of the Luxuries. Many Casualties admire the Samurai.
Moving over to Tokyo, demons thrive, but order is kept by an organization called “The Eight Legions Union Asura Assembly” based in Roppongi district. They protect people from threats by negotiating with the demons. But a sanction that prevents forgiveness is imposed on those who don’t approve of this method. The “Cult of Gaia,” which Shin Megami Tensei fans should be familiar with, is based in Ginza. They carry a survival of the fittest mentality, believing that humans and demons alike must rely on their own power to survive. They are hostile toward The Eight Legions and disapprove of their methods.
Characters:
- Tayama (CV: Houchuu Ootsuka) – Leader of the Eight Legions Union Asura Assembly. He is worshipped and feared by the masses.
- Kaga (CV: Kahoru Sasajima) – A member of the Cult of Gaia. She has a strong and brave personality, and is fighting aginst the Asura Assembly.
- Black Samurai (CV: Atsuko Tanaka) – A mysterious person who appears before the hero. She is familiar with the roads of Tokyo and East Mikado.
The Black Samurai is one of the more exciting things i've seen so far. A possible Strange Journey tie-in seems very interesting, and considering the character is female it is probably Zelenin, but that doesnt seem right to have her in this game.
Zelenin would make the most sense main character wise. However that looks like the CHAOS/jack version of the demonica.
Sorry for bringing this up after so long but I really want to agree with you on most things. Persona 1 on PSX was my first entry into the Megaten series and I've become a huge fan since. Nocturne is easily the best game on PS2, the final boss fights are phenomenal, but I really don't understand your hatred for Persona. The games are fantastic. Aside from main line SMT games they are the best RPGs out there.
I agree that P4 has been over marketed but god damn if I haven't enjoyed every reiteration of the game. P4G was spectacular. A perfect game in my book.
And you said it best yourself, "keep buying those remakes to fund SMTIV". I'm not sure why you're upset with their existence at all.
Also holy shit Steven is back in SMTIV
Pure speculation on my part but it looks like the new non-Kaneko designed demons may be what the other NPCs you know in the game use and they might stick to Kaneko demons for MC.
May 23 for Japan. New 3DSXL bundle too.
Bundle looks like ass so I won't fret over it.
I didn't own a DS when Strange Journey came out; is it worth playing? I beat SMT3, DDS1-2, Persona 2-4, Devil Survivor 2. I took a glimpse at it but it looked rather dull. I'd mostly be interested in the story.
