United we stand:

Getting a killshot on any generator makes the magitek vanguard fixate on you (at the very least it transfers a ton of enmity). As long as the "kiter" and the DDs understand that (meaning people get the fuck out if they kill a generator, and the designated kiter tries to finish off generators while the magitek is not on him) and as long as the WAR that's on adds doesn't suck and calls for help when he needs it, it's an easy fight.

For part of our run, we had a BRD dps down the generator till it was about 1~2 hits from being destroyed and then had the WAR go over and poke it to take it out. The BRD ended up with the Magitek Vanguard fixated on him. So it's not just who gets the kill shot, it's whoever does the most damage to that generator.

I was well aware of that part when I went into the fight (as WAR), so I completely avoided getting any killshots on the generators... but the Vanguard was constantly on me anyways. Not sure why that was... but the best advice for melee is to be ready to run if the Vanguard comes after you, it hits real hard.

edit: beat kinda' but it definitely is a possibility as to why I ended up with hate.

don't even bother trying to have an actual tank for that fight. just assign some war to voke it at the start to draw attention from the healers, and then whoever ends up getting aggro should just kite until they lose it, then the next person kites, rinse, repeat. try to sync kill the outer targets then dps down the center quickly. we one-shot that fight easily on the first day. the battle mechanics are pretty simple.

What's a fair reward to offer for this? Nobody wants to get off their ass and help for nothing so they just spam emotes in town doing shit lol. I tried 100k~200k and nothing, what would people go for?

You're on Gungnir? I think I just saw your shout, but preparing for events so I can't help right now. If we end up running it for LS members in the near future I will let you know though.

Yeah I am, thanks for the offer. I just beat it with WHM WHM BLM DRG WAR WAR WAR and it went extremely well. I guess, like always, it just boils down to what you get from shouts lol. Now for the next one.

I think the only difference with the Collector's Edition is that it comes with the code for Onion Helm.

For some reason, only freshly-created characters are given the items you have activated codes for, so if you want any items from codes, you'll have to start a new character after you register them.

I've wondered this myself, I suppose if you have a top 3 and they can still get seals/extra items? The question is can they? I'm not sure anyones even tried that we know of.

I think I remember reading a post on the OF saying someone in the Top 3 still got seals. If this was actually something real, I also think it was apparently at a worse rate than Lv2
In theory, seals could still come from the chest too? I thought there were some reports of people getting seals out of silver chest, but obviously at a retardedly low rate.
