Is there an up to date blm guide anywhere? Some LS mates saying stack INT for Thundara due to the combo bonus AMP is for everything else. Would like to just read an up to gate reliable guide though.

    The rule of thumb is:

Primarily casting Thunder = stack INT
Primarily casting Fire = stack Attack Magic Potency

4 INT is 1 Matk, it shows in the stat window. INT has no cap, Matk caps but not on anything difficult.

Matk is generally more damage point-for-point than INT for most spells, however, Thundara's combo bonus gives a massive boost to Matk essentially auto capping you (even on high level targets) so only INT will increase damage (this is important, Thundara is your main source of damage in any single target fight).

Are you a max-size Roeg, thus meaning your chocobo is larger than most peoples'? Or perhaps your camera is just zoomed in?

Random guesses. I have no idea.

On stats like lightning magic potency and fire, etc, is each point of that basically equal to 1 AMP but just for that element?

Yes. Which is why each materia has higher stats on it than the general AMP materia.

Since Durandal is so boring atm i need to make my own Garuda group but never did it so

    1) What job setup is best to win
    2) What good strategy to use
    3) I know Garuda ia Epic gear fight so i'm looking for people with double/tripple meld i suppose

    1) We use WAR, DRG, MNK, BRD, BRD, BLM, BLM, WHM

I personally like doing MNK because Chirada is so much easier to control with MNK and it keeps the BLMs safer for longer in order for them to rape her (Taunt, bitches).

Alternatively you can use WAR, WAR, BRD, BRD, BLM, BLM, BLM, WHM, we've also done PLD, MNK, DRG for front line as well. It depends on the people you use and how they play, but WARx2 is the most common setup.

    3) You don't need EPIC gear, you just need people who know what they're doing. Single meld is fine as long as people know the fight. BLMs should be casting blizzard when thunder combos are down, proper use of excruciate and burst etc, as well as your melees doing good damage while keeping Plumes down.

As for what to do, I made a post about it earlier, I'll see if I can find it.

    2)

    Phase 1 (Pre-Aerial Blast)

BLMs burn Garuda down as fast as possible (for phase 2 skip), Burst combos help for this phase. Ignore plumes and avoid Mistral Shriek. Sidenote: MNKs can fill this role as well.

WARs tank Garuda and deal with plumes. One mainly tanks and one mainly deals with plumes, both should be doing aoe WS to weaken/kill plumes, but only 1 needs to focus fully on it. Sidenote: DRGs can fill this role too.

BRDs keep people up on songs and aid in taking out plumes while dealing damage to Garuda when they can. Mostly using Rain of Death and Wide Volley here, but my personal experience with BRD is shallow after the light shot nerf. Before AB goes off, 1 BRD should Battle Voice and cast Ballad.

WHM just needs to regen the melee occasionally and heal them, it's really easy. You can benediction after AB if your party is low, but considering how much time Garuda needs to attack after phase 2 skip you could let regen do most of the work.

Phase 3 (skipping Phase 2 cause you should always skip phase 2! And I'm lazy)

There are 3 messages you need to watch for.

South Winds (Tornado's that go clockwise)

West Winds (Center of arena, clones)

Air bends and warps (Edge of arena, clones)

Generally if you follow Garuda she goes where it's safe to be, exception is tornado's (I THINK), you might need to keep an eye out on them. Dealing with clones is easy, BLMs go after Chirada, WARs and BRDs go after Suprana. Main tank should take Suprana while sub-tank takes Chirada until BLMs are ready/able to kill her. MNKs can kill both (Fists on - Chirada, Fists off - Suprana) and DRGs aim for Suprana only.

Important thing to remember for clones is that since there are 3 of them, positioning is important so you all don't get raped by slipstreams and stunned. WHMs and BRDs should be out of range of all clones so they can heal and support. WHMs should time Prism Regen for these parts, and BRDs should be using Stoneskin and Sanguine Rite with Sacred Prism (mostly after AB, MP can be a little rough then).

Tornado is easy as well, just move slowly around the safe spot while WARs and BRDs focus on killing plumes (BLMs can regen MP or nuke Garuda). After plumes are dead, everyone can rush Garuda.
I forgot to add that BRDs and WHMs should Ballad and Regen before each wind starts in phase 3. BLMs should keep at least 1k MP to deal with clones.

Little addendum to what I said earlier about generally following Garuda, air bends and warps (edge clones) are the only one Garuda gets into position for. West and South winds (center clones and tornadoes respectively) require you to move into position before Garuda does (I think she just follows the tank, been a while so I could be remembering it wrong). Everyone needs to get into the middle of the arena for west winds asap otherwise you'll get hit by the winds (which doesn't help survival at all). Generally the WHM should save Benediction for when clones get rough, because as I said using it after AB is unnecessary if you deal with plumes correctly.
