So I've been gone from the game since around Tera's launch. Just wondering how much content I need to go through to get caught up. I was on my way to do the first garuda quest a few months ago. Also, is it easy getting help for AF final fights? I had trouble on drg for the wyrm fight, assuming it's even harder to find people.

I just reactivated since leaving a few months after launch. Am I still going to be eligible for the Legacy status? Also, did my character get randomly tossed on to one of the new servers? Am I going to have to remake it? Can I transfer it?

Sorry for the somewhat inane questions but it looks like I'm going to be patching for hours and hours. lol

If you didn't pay for any months before then its too late to get legacy.

Servers got merged so you should have been tossed to the one that was created. There's no option to transfer right now.

Well balls, am I even going to have enough time to restart and level up to 30 to get my goobue mount before those are gone? lol

Getting to level 30 can be done in a day, so yes depending on how hard you go at it, but for a new character with no extra skills, no stored leve credits, and potentially no one to help them, then i might take a few days.

You have until the next lettered patch to get it.

Did they nerf materia conversion rates? It seems whenever I spiritbond something I get a tier II or III, never a IV. Is there something special that needs to be done, or is it all just random?

Random. As far as I know, nothing has changed, but I don't purposely spiritbond much. I think only Lv40+ (41+?) gear makes tier 4 materia though.

So I'm toying around with potential gearsets on my DRG, and my current set is something like:
Ifrit's Harpoon: DPS39.73 STR313 PIE281 ATK568 ACC365 without using any rings, necklace, or earring (could also use Mogfork I guess, for ACC+30 Crit rate+15)
OR
2nd Flame Lt : DPS40.26 STR311 PIE291 ATK588 ACC377 without using necklace or one ring (the earring and other ring slot being used to trigger the Lance's stats)

However I'm leaning towards the second '~' I could always get better PIE melds on my haubergeon and STR melds on my felt bracers (at 24 and 33 respectively) but I don't think that'd put one build too far in favour of the other

Higher dps is better for drg. You just spam ws all damn day so I'd go with second build then work on 3-melds while selecting accessories appropriately.

So what the hell does it take to trigger that new quest after you get the wanted poster item? I've slept in my inn room overnight and through the day like 3 days in a row (maybe 10:00pm to 6:00pm) and have only had 1 nightmare and 2 nothings.

Have to do it in the correct order. It's very stupid like that.

Ul'dah > Gridania > Limsa Lominsa

I'm told you have to be logged out for at least an hour for the quest to trigger.

Along the lines of grand company leves, according to wiki there are 6 of them, and i remember doing one before at treespeak, but i cannot for the life of me get him to offer it again. he just keeps offering 3 other ones at random when i accept > abandon. Is there some trick im missing to get him to offer the other 3, or does it change at a set interval or something? I don't want to waste all my allowances getting the wrong leves.

Some instances (i.e.hamlet) restrict equip swaps.

Other than that, it should work. Tried to see if you could min/max on blm with swaps, but it's too slow. WHM it is useful to have a vit/enh set if you're doing anything worth a poop.

Just noticed I got Legacy after this cycle. I thought it had to be the 90 days option or stay subbed for exactly 3 months, no unsubbing, not as a total.

There are 2 kill X mobs, 2 protect npc, and 2 poke leves.

There are only 3 types of leves but each has 2 variants.

Wow, I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground here. I'm 18 Conjurer and 12 Archer so I know I'm noob scum but do I just need to keep grinding levequests to go up like I did back in December of last year or is there something I'm missing?

I've been looking around for an entry level FAQ or something to reaclimate myself to the game since it's been so long but I feel absolutely lost lol
