Might be a silly question, but is Crit Hit Rate/Magic Crit Rate still capped at 20% post 1.22a hotfix?
I was looking into Magic Crit Rate gear for my BLM when this issue came up. According to my calculations, with the introduction of Militia mage gear, one can get up to 214 Magic Crit Rate if you go all out on that stat. According to this post (albeit it's for physical rates and not magical), each Crit Rate stat increases your critical hit rate by 0.16%, and thus if the cap is truly at 20% (assuming there is no dLV factors in calculating crit rates) you max out after 125, which means upping it further would be pointless.
Anyone willing to test it out? If the cap has been lifted/increased, having a BLM that can dish out crit hits 1 in 3 spells is pretty damn attractive.
What is the easiest way to find the the correct distance to stand when fighting coin counter. We usually go in, I quicknock at max distance of quicknock, but I cannot use it again if the mob moves when it's on cool down, if it's moved how do I find the correct distance again? Any recommended landmarks to tank and stand at in that area? We usually stand between the three little rocks near the far right of the area but it's not really working for us.
If you are unsure about the range, you can always do this. We dont personally have any landmark, we just kinda knows where the spot is, you can see the swipe area when he does 100swing/swipe, take a 2-3step back and u should be ok.

Just tank it right where it stands and jam every one else in the corner to the right, against the ledge, and don't move him. The end!
do you get less items for mass killing mobs? i seem to get an item im looking for every other kill when i do it 1 at a time, but when i kill 10 at a time, i dont seem to get any
Just started playing this game again after 2 years. What is a fire party?
I've been hearing some conflicting information about a warriors main and secondary stats.
Some places say Vitality is main and Strength is secondary. Others are vice versa.
I've checked out a few threads regarding stats but none specifically mention WAR stats, unless I'm blinder than I think I am.
I know it's dependent on your weapon for exact stat soft caps, but the general word is about 350 for main and 310 for the second from what I understand.
I'm either over my cap or under my cap as I have 325 vit right now. Only 247 str, so I need to get that taken care of, but I like extra vitality as it helps my whm not need to take care of me as often.
I've asked my LS ingame and well, they just started arguing over who was right, as not everyone agreed on what is what. Could someone point me in the right direction, or give me a little more insight about all this?
Guess I'll take off this vit ring then!
There's actually a pretty easy test for the jobs (haven't tested with all, so I could be wrong)
Strip naked and look at your stats. Which stat is highest? Primary. Which stat is second highest? Secondary.
The misdirection likely stems from the patch notes where they were introduced. They listed the secondary before the primary for all the jobs.
Well in that situation, Vitality would be my primary stat.
Naked Stats
Str: 234
Vit: 252
So if both of you are correct, it's the secondary stat you want to pump more gear into for the higher number?
Oh, huh. I'm wrong then. For some reason I thought STR was higher than VIT on WAR.
I guess that explains why it's so damn hard to cap STR on WAR though. STR should indeed be the primary one to stack. I just edited a strikethrough into my previous post, heh.
Ignore my previous post it's bad bad bad, I don't want to be the source of wrong infoooooooooo don't look at it it's evillll booooo hisss
I've been told for the longest time that it's STR -> VIT.
I try to balance the two. My VIT stat always seems higher.
