Monitor issues

Fiance is having an issue with her monitor and I have had similar issues with mine. Both using Windows 7 64bit. She has Nvidia 450 GPU and I have 2 AMD 6870's crossfired.

Every now and then her main monitor will blink off for a second or two, then turn come back on. Power doesn't go out because the monitor green light stays on. I notice this happens with my second monitor but never with my primary one on my computer.

Updated her drivers, this is a fresh install of Windows 7 with just a few things on her computer. Wondering if it's the monitor but it's not that old (probably a year old now).

Any help is appreciated.

I get this at work all the time after I updated my video card drivers (I have an nvidia Quadro card). It seems to happen whenever there is a "hiccup" in the network connection, I have not found a way to fix it but it doesn't happen very often so it doesn't really bother me much.

Issue is popping up again suddenly. Thought I had fixed it by installing other version of the drivers for the card...but apparently that didn't take. No clue what the fuck is doing it now but it's def something with display drivers as a message pops up saying they were disabled.

Tighten up your cables? Video and power cables both.

Also are you both in the same room? Could be overloading your circuit and effectively causing a brown out that only affects your monitors.

But would the drivers be turning off for a brown out? Or is the GPU just trying to refresh itself too much that it flicks on and off?

Oh. Card's overheating. I didn't see that it was giving you that message.
