I said to do it weakened to double your recast and give the test better resolution. I don't think it necessarily mattered in this case though:
57/60 = 8% to 11% Fast Cast (4% or 5% reduction in recast time)
56/60 = 12% or 13% Fast Cast (6% reduction in recast time)
Atma of Ambition is 5% Fast Cast, so 8% -> 13% is the only way it would work out.
Downside is that this shows the HQ has the same Fast Cast as the NQ. If you think this isn't right or something, repeating the tests with weakness would be a good way to find out.

Am I required to have gold purification on my alchemy character to synth a malison medallion? Or, can I make the neutralizing silver ingots on a mule and then simply give them to my main?
