Just walked into a bar for the Skins game wearing my Preds jersey and got an unexpected loud cheer for hockey. Also ran into a guy who is like Joel Ward's best friend in DC. Would have doubted it but he's been showing me photos of them together for the past five minutes. He is also hanmered.

Nope, the season never gets super exciting anyway until after the All-Star break when it becomes crunch time....so we're in like perma crunch time from the start and it shall be glorious.

Which since they don't usually collapse anyway til about now...will this be the year the Leafs finally make the playoffs and end their streak of only team including expansions, that hasn't made the playoffs since the last lockout?

Yeah, if anything, the season will be more exciting and tight because it is shorter. It's gonna be ridiculously intense, every single game matters, playoff hockey from the get-go I figure

Love the all-day Hockey coverage on TSN being about Canadian teams and changes to teams and what to look for league wide and etc, etc. As opposed to "They're talking today... but it doesn't look good. Oh, never mind, they got fucking angry at each other again, they'll try again next week."

Got 13 in Yahoo already, with some people from last year not responding yet. I upped the cap to 18 but we won't go with that.. depending on what our final number is I might split it into two different leagues. Or do a Roto league or something and have the new people this year go into that. We'll see what the final number of interested people is.
