Rumors are always swirling around Evander for some fucking reason. It's probably some unhappy Winnipegger stirring things up again. During the season someone on Twitter accused him of running off on restaurant tabs. Considering random fans here would offer him to pay the fucking tab, I don't know how anyone took that seriously. As for him not wanting to re-sign here...I call fucking shenanigans. He just wants the right price on the table. Chevy's stated several times that young talents like Kane, Bogosian and Burmistrov are the highest priority in locking up.

Now on the off chance he really doesn't want to re-sign, we'll still get something very nice in return. If Evander wants to be another Hodgson, so be it. We all know how that turned out.

Play off points...well, considering the entire franchise has been to the playoffs just once, I'm not too bothered about the low numbers. Some guys just end up on teams that either fuck 'em or strike gold.

First year is the first year. Things are still in the "What the fuck do we have" phase. I was content they fought tooth and nail 'till a few games to end of season contending for a playoff spot.

Also note Chevy says he'll grow homegrown talent. And Noel is that kinda coach. Earliest we'll ever see Jets as regular contenders is at least 3-4 years away. I've waited fifteen fucking, agonizing, excruciating, painful, tortuous, slap-in-the-face, kick-to-the-fucking-balls years for this. I can wait a bit more.

This fucking drives me nuts with Winnepeg fans. Its NOT the first year. Its like 12th year. Just cause the city and team name changed doesn't mean the team changed. Same trainer, same team doctor, same players, some but not all office + management staff the same, etc etc. The ice rink is the same size as it was in Atlanta and Evander Kane, Bryan Little, Zach Bogosian, Dustin Byufligien, Ondrej Pavelec, and company couldn't get it done on that 200' by 85' sheet of ice in Atlanta, they won't get it done on the 200' by 85' sheet of ice in Winnepeg.
