Megaman Universe just looked like a prettier version of regular MM games with the gimmick of different Megamans and Ryu tossed in there. Not sure what hype you're talking about.

For a lot of these games coming out regularly I can understand, but there's no way D3 could have lived up to hype with D/D2 being out for so long that it becomes FFVII/Pokemon/etc. grade hardcore nostalgic game for a lot of people.
