Make sure that you get kitten food and not cat food, there's a big difference. Also as the cat grows it's a good idea to keep both wet and dry food, and feed them primarily dry food. If their diet is mostly wet food their teeth will go to shit. Make sure you keep the food away from the litter box. If they're too close together either the cat won't want to eat, or won't want to go where they're supposed to.
Gah I so want another kitten, but 4 cats is enough....for now....
oh, don't flip out when it attacks/bites your feet first thing in the morning. It's just playing and they grow out of it. It's quite common that they do it too so don't think you've ended up with some insane beast.
If she was a stray to start might want to get her tested for all the common diseases, heartworms, feline hiv etc. Kittens often have watery eyes when they're that young (my mom takes care of tons of feral kittens/cats in our house), they get sniffles and stuff like human babies do.
One thing we did that feral kittens seemed to like comfort-wise was erect an old playpen in the living room and put them in there with a little litter box and their food/water dishes. It kept them roped off from the rest of the house while at the same time letting them get used to people being around. Pretty soon they were all trying (and succeeding) to climb out lol.
Our feral cats that we didn't get declawed have scratched the shit out of our couch though, but they stopped doing it after we got them a cat tree with a scratching post built in. Cat trees are such awesome inventions, especially if you have more than one cat.
Our cats' favorite toy is something like this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_PAQLbPdnUu...cat_circle.jpg
Those things are fucking amazing for cats and kittens alike, every single cat we've had has loved it.
Some of the cat lovers out there might disagree, but DECLAW THAT LITTLE FUCKER!
I've got two cats, and I let the shelter talk me into not declawing them. They told me that it was akin to cutting off your finger at the knuckle, and I bought it, kind of thinking that if worse comes to worse I can let them live in my Dad's barn as long as they've still got their claws. Now pretty much every cloth surface in my house has been destroyed. No matter how many scratching posts you buy, they're still going to get their claws into things. One of them was even sleeping on my bed one night, and got spooked by something, and ran across my fucking face... the scars are small, but it was unpleasant to say the least.
It will never get easier to declaw it than when you first get it.
Pretty weak there, Tagus. You can trim cats claws and you can also get soft paws http://www.softpaws.com/?gclid=CIeDl...FY4FRQodXHaE1Q to put on them instead of getting declawed.
I remember thinking I was being attacked by a demon in my sleep, woke up and my face was all bloody.
DO YOU WANT THAT?
No, but seriously, I thought I was being attacked by a demon.
ignore tagus and get these:
even one of my cats who is the most paranoid thing ever has no issues with the soft paws being on her.
also still haven't noticed if you mentioned whether this will be indoor only or not. if you let it outdoors you probably won't need the soft paws as trees>furniture I've found.
Oh, it will be an indoor cat to be with my indoor dog. lol

Works like a dream, I haven't used a litterbox in over a year.
Every time he uses the potty, we give him a treat and love on him. He comes and tells us after he goes potty now. Best $25 EVER.
I confined Arya to my room for like 2 weeks and slowly let her have more freedom after that. She likes to chew on wires so if your kitten does that there's this bitter spray stuff that you can use on wires that will make your kitten regret ever chewing on your shit. I accidentally tasted it (I guess I didn't wash my hands good enough) and bleh it's awful.
She looks like she's going to be a fluffy cat, so a vet will tell you to start brushing her now so she gets desensitized to it. They will also tell you to start brushing her teeth with a kitty brush and kitty toothpaste for the same reason along with get her used to her ears, tummy, and paws being touched. Arya flips a shit and cries when I try to trim her nails, so I wrap her up in a blanket now and it calms her down so I can clip her.
As far as food goes, get dry kitten food and keep her bowl full at all times. The vet told me that you can start feeding them normally around 6-7 months old when their metabolism starts to slow down. I only give her wet food once every other day.
I kinda wanna name her Puar, but then i realised my dogs name is Pudge, so he may not like that too much.
Now i'm thinking Maebe
Halp with name.
also buffy i just ordered citikitty i cant wait
Puar was yamcha's cat name in dbz right?
Go fuck yourself. If you hate your cat so much that you'll amputate it just for your own comfort, then wtf do you have a cat for? With a tiny bit of training, cats don't just go around scratching shit up. If you can't handle the occasional thing being scratched up a bit, don't get a cat.
Do it.Now i'm thinking Maebe
Ya. cause Maebe she's brown maebe she's black
