Best partition software?

Need to reformat my computer and don't have the money for an external HDD right now. Any good programs?

I believe when you install (at least, in XP) Windows you can choose to wipe a partition and create a new one (in the blue screen when it boots from CD)

So I would expect the same to be on Windows 7?

Haha. It's so true. Just create a folder.

Even for dual booting purposes seems moot nowadays thanks to virtual machines.

I agree that a partition is not needed. in Windows 7 though you can do it from the control panel. I forget how, just google it

Unless i'm missing something he just wants to create a new partition, move his stuff to that, then wipe the first partition and reinstall windows.

control panel > admin tools > computer management > storage > disk management

Why not use the partition software, which will help you partition the drive easily and fast. There are many freeware like Partition Wizard, Easeus, Paragon etc.
