I was really hoping Orlando would make the mistake of keeping Howard for at least the 1st half of the season. Seeing a star get boo'ed night in and night out at home would have been great. I wonder if Howard will now pull a Tmac and miss every game when he has to play in Orlando for the near future?

Kobe will still be the man on the Lakers. The NBA, at least on its surface, is all about scoring. Dwight isnt the best center in the NBA now because hes on par (hes not.. its no where close) with what Shaq, Dream, Robinson, Kareem, or any other great centers of the past. Hes got the title more by default then anything.

Houston was willing to trade all of their young assets AND take all of Orlando's shitty contracts.

The Nets offer at least had a good young big in Brook Lopez and a promising 2 in Brooks, and 4 unprotected 1st rounders.

Why didn't Stern veto this horseshit if he was going to veto the other trade?
