I saw this trailer again when I went to watch Star Trek and was again struck by the similarities to Evangelion. This time I felt more positive about it, though, as the few differences I noticed were all improvements... like the lack of Shinji. They made the plot less complex and probably changed enough things that they will not have to fear any lawyers, but I bet it will be more enjoyable to watch than the convoluted mess that was Evangelion.

That said, I don't go for robots with pointy elbows. 2/10 would not watch.
