Question: Does blacklisting someone persist after name change, or does it block all characters on an account? I recently noticed someone shouting in PJ on FFXIAH's shout page who I could not see in my log (and yes, he was in the same zone, other people were replying to him in shout) but their name was not on my black list.

Question on calculating ranged attacks: How is Velocity Shot considered (or how should it be considered) if I'm just figuring cRatio instead of average pDIF? BG Wiki claims a 20% boost to ranged pDIF. So is it just cRatio * 1.2? If so, what about on crits? Do I just multiply critical cRatio by 1.2?

I've been using other wiki's model until now, claiming Velocity Shot is a 15% increase to ranged attack (similar to Berserk or Warcry). After comparing BG Wiki's entry, I don't think that's entirely accurate lol

For reference, BG wiki says Velocity Shot "Increases ranged pDIF boost by approximately 20%."

Even considering average pDIF, how is the ranged pDIF boosted by 20%? Just ranged pDIF * 1.2? The way it's worded on the wiki is confusing to me. I figure, if that were the case, wouldn't the wiki just say "Increases ranged pDIF by 20%?" because I'm not aware of any "boosts" ranged pDIF receives that Velocity Shot would increase.

But the SS doesn't show up when taking SSs on the test server. I had to manually move them.

The command you want is "sso dirformat", but I am not sure if it sandboxes it to the screenshot directory or if it allows you to use absolute paths.

You may actually find creating a symbolic link (hardlink) a more useful solution. Instructions on how to do so are here (utility program and command line instructions both described). Then create a link from the specified Dropbox folder to your existing screenshots folder.

I realize that I can whore colorfuls out to those who need the T2 done for their trails but I generally like to be selfsufficient.

Concerning War/Drk: what AH gear is worthwhile, even as a placeholder? I haven't reviewed all the new rare/ex stuff much less touched anything beyond Heroes of Abyssea.

Ah, yep. Symbolic links are part of the NTFS specification; doesn't work on FAT32. Should also be careful in using them on XP. They work a lot better on Vista and Win7.
