I read the book before I saw the movie.... but that didnt help any.. One of the scariest movies I saw as a kid..

I'd say it "looks pretty" rather than average.

I am definitely looking forward to seeing this one, but more because the three witches are favorites of mine. The world needs more fantasy films. The closest we get for the entire year is the Hobbit and before then ... I don't know.

Just saw the trailer for this at The Hobbit. So Disney is going to give the Snow White and the Huntsman treatment to all our classic childhood films, I guess? Can't wait for Anna Kendrick and Ron Perlman in Beauty and the Beast.

The monkeys aren't bad to begin with, they're controlled by a crown.
The Wizard of Oz... is Oz Pinhead,
The Wicked Witch of the West is actually Momba
They don't wear the Goggles in Emerald City.

Other than actually doing a prequel to the series... they actually did an adaptation big surprise. After actually reading the series a la Marvel Comics, which actually follows the books to a T. I was excited for this to come out... but I'm beginning to hate Sam Raimi more and more. After that shit show of Spider-Man 3, and actually looking over at most of his movies aside from The Evil Dead series, and Spider-man 2, I don't really like any of his other movies.

Same, I remember watching Pearlman when he did that daytime series adaptation of "The beauty and the beast" actually thought it was decently done for a cheap show
