umbral marrow or riftcinders are the highest value at the moment, depending on server.

all rank 3 items are ra/ex.. so that'll depend on your job

Have every job and try to treat them equally, so, largest performance increase factored with rarity/toughness to get would be some sort of ratio I would be shooting for.
(I'm picking mythic polearm for rank1, since mythics are so expensive/tough to get, and afaik that's one of the stronger mythics, especially on a job with mediocre relic/empy weapons, so it was a simple choice. Hoping to do similar with rank3.)

Rag > Ryunohige in terms of raw output. (more like WAR >> DRK >> DRG) But Ryunohige is a WAYYYY cooler and rarer option.

You're putting waaay too much thought into something you statistically won't win. Just go with Ryuno.

It's only going to get beaten because the GSword is tied to two natively stronger jobs. The Ryunohige is going to put you pretty damn toe-to-toe with a well geared War/Drk, especially in any situation where you're riding the AM3 full time for massive jump TP gain and spamming Stardiver. Stardiver's already one of the better merit WS, and Drakesbane isn't shabby at all.

Long story short: You're going to be strong with the Ryu, you'd be stronger with something for war/drk, but you're also gunna have a lot more fun with Ryu.

You can solo a ragnarok in 3 months if you work at it each day. You wont be able to do so for a ryo unless SE manages to actually make the weapons reasonable to obtain after the 4th(?) attempt to do so.

And yes, I'm aware that the job discrepancy is what is causing the standings. If they are at least close though then the utility of Angon and Super Jump (if hate ever gets fixed, which I think it might to some degree) will make Dragoon fairly attractive, fun-factor aside.

I've actually already started to, I just haven't turned in anything (like any sane person). I'm guessing that you think that I'm debating between Ragnarok and Ryunohige for the prize; such is not the case. My question was more so towards it's actual functionality, as if it's more so on fun-toy level, then that kind of levels the playing field between that and Tizona (which is the alternative that I'm actually debating on).
