i was waiting for the "you dumb (country accent)" post lol
i was waiting for the "you dumb (country accent)" post lol
Because whatever.
Exactlly.
To be fair half of the picks he did were crap so that was probably a bunch of joke picks.
Burtgang, Coruscanti, Adamas... I think that's what I picked.
Nirvana, 5x umbral marrow (to sell of course), and Iaso boots, since I figured that i won't be getting into legion anytime soon with the time i have and shell i'm with.
Well the Gobbie bag event ends in a few hours. Wonder how long it'll take them to mail out winner stuff. Knowing squeenix it'll either be by end of day or end of month, no in between.
So is it true that JPs get fully upgraded Rank1 prize with Afterglow?
This is the argument SE proposes, and it's always dumb.
Option 1: 10,000 people with a 1/10,000 chance of winning a fully upgraded R/M/E
Option 2: 10,000 people and one will win a level 90 R/M/E
Which should you pick?
Spoiler: show
Statistically speaking From an individuals point of view. yes. But this isn't an individual point of view system. Its for the entire playerbase, and in one instance, No one can win, in the other, someone will absolutely win. On the other hand, 8 People could win the JP one, but that would be nigh unthinkable.
hey have to think of it as a game as a whole, Not just as each individuals chances. The probability of not getting one, and the fact that one will get one.
Shame they're never holding something like this again, Otherwise we could have voted for option 1, No guaranteed winner but better reward.
For the record, Its not that i agree with us getting a nerf version, Its just i can understand their thinking, I would prefer a "no one can win" lottery like the JP since i have the same chances, but eh...
Because the delicate ecosystem of this game could not possibly handle the immeasurable might of TWO afterglow weapons. It'd be like the episode of the Simpsons where bull frogs destroyed Australia. But, oh no, there's already an afterglow in existence, that one Verethragna... THE PTA HAS DISBANDED
Think ya'll missing the point.
But i guess we can continue to bitch about getting free stuff that doesn't live up to our standards of what free stuff we deserve ⌐ ⌐
Especially considering you probably wont win lol.
We all get the point. It's that they make up arbitrary restrictions about things that have no effect other than treating the two communities as two communities instead of one. But we don't really have any say in that matter, so all we're left to do is belly-ache about it. Unless of course we bitch about the bitching, as a sort of hyper-evolved futuristic space meta-bitching.
I still don't get it. What is the functional difference between "one tier 1 winner" and "on average, one tier 1 winner?"
The only justification for giving us an inferior prize *should be* that the JPs have a dramatically lower chance of winning Tier 1. Like, there are 10,000 applications and the odds are 1/1,000,000 that you win Tier 1. We don't know what the odds are, so we can't say absolutely for sure this isn't the case.... but come on, we all know SE. They could have designed the statistics of the event and the rewards exactly the same for both groups and they chose not to. That's condemning enough in itself.
So are the winners being announced today?
Well the devil's advocate reasoning would be that it's unfair to the JAPANESE that we'd get an afterglow weapon. If you split up the communities into two, JPs and everyone else, then we get an afterglow for our team 100%, and for them there's only a CHANCE of getting an afterglow.
The problem with that comes from thinking about the communities as opposing teams, or even a single team for that matter. There's no national pride involved here. Soujiro from MoonPhase doesn't give a damn if Kenichiro from KamenRangers gets an afterglow weapon. The fact that one exists doesn't change the dynamic of battle for anyone but the players in Kenichiro's party, and even then it's a MINOR change over a regular 99 weapon. Karbuncle was all "Well you're thinking too individualistically," but frankly that's the only way to think about the issue, because getting an afterglow weapon only affects the individual that gets the weapon because they're just not significantly more powerful than non-afterglows. There are no global repercussions other than sour grapes for everyone that didn't win and a glowing cosmetic epeen for whoever did.
I'm just blah because I don't get a bite at the shiny apple personally, same as everyone else in my language setting. Nothing wrong with a little bitching. It's good for the soul.
don't think they will be today, since it ends at 11:59pm (PDT) today
