Finally got a key! However, my account seems to be in french and i don't see an option to change languages.
So I don't think I missed it, but did Ringthree get a beta key? The guy posted in so many threads just hatin' saying he won't buy the game because he can't try it, yet I keep seeing all these beta key giveaways. At any rate, I wonder if he was banned from this section or he finally just stopped trolling it or what. Honestly I would have liked him to get in the beta and try it out, since he seemed to have such a strong opinion without having tried the game.
Considering there's no monthly fee, I don't see how anybody who's interested in trying this game can really bitch about not getting into a beta. 60 bucks all-in for a MMO is a crazy amount of bang for your buck. You could potentially play hundreds upon hundreds of hours. That's just great value. Beats the hell out of buying any single player game you plan to get ever.
Well I have lots of friends who refuse to even consider the game because it's a MMO. I can't really blame them since the time commitment and amount of grinding required in most MMOs really turns a lot of people off. To them it's not a matter of dollars:gametime, it's fun:gametime. And sadly I doubt I'll be able to convince many of them to give GW2 a chance, especially since it starts off fairly boring with so many skills locked.
Well yeah, if you don't like MMOs then obviously it's not the game for you lol.
If they're into PvP at all, they can jump right into the mists at level 1. In the mists you're automatically leveled to 80 with all skills unlocked and you can customize your gear for free. That way they can jump right into the action.
^ Pretty much this. Although for WvWvW it autolevels you to 80 statwise but it takes your current skills into account(the last BWE at least, i'm not sure if for release they plan on making it like the Mist areas and giving us everything) so you'll have whatever skills you are used to using from PvE scaled upwards.
Go get em tigers.
Edit: some 300 keys still left, guess everyone forgot/has their access already.
P.S. Europeans cant time for shit it seems.
Edit: Taken! I'll keep an eye out for any other spares.
I'd like a chance at a key if you still have an extra one. I keep seeing these giveaways just a bit too late. >< I was a pretty stable GW1 player, so I'll probably end up picking up the game regardless, but it'd still be pretty neat to try it out. Maybe get an idea of what class to make or something.
For what is worth the keys took forever to be taken at alienwarearena
How do I keep missing all of these.
<_<
Karma, maybe? Keep trying, kid, or buy the game.
Don't bring what ever drama shit you want to start in here.
Also, I'll buy the game when I'm sure I want to commit some time to it right at launch. For now I have a lot on my plate to deal with.
Money got tight for a while because I was spending a lot of time and money on my relationship and such, and I was going to have to buy two copies at once since we were really looking forward to playing the game with each other, but then that ended in a firey explosion, so that's out of the way. But now I got enough things to catch up on that there isn't enough hours in the day. I keep missing the beta invites by like an hour or two every time. Most times they go out while I'm at work and not really watching news feeds to see if they're going out. Maybe I'm just making excuses to push it back, but once my finances are settled again I'll probably at least pre-order it.
Friend doesn´t need it anymore

Dumb question, where do I input the code? >_>
