So another Resident Evil 1 'remake'
I think he mentioned Gamecube to say "you know it will be a great remake". Still, Wouldn't mind, never played the GC version.

The original Resident Evil game is being remastered for release on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Capcom has announced.
Due for a digital-only launch in early 2015, the new port is based on the game's 2002 GameCube "REmake". This new version will include 1080p visuals (720p for last-gen consoles) and 5.1 surround support.
There's no word yet on a European price, but it will cost 3990 yen (about £23) in Japan, where the last-gen console version will arrive before Christmas.

You'll be able to choose between playing the game in its classic 4:3 ratio or in 16:9 widescreen, and have a choice of control styles.
There's a new scrolling camera, too - which appears to be a compromise between a more dynamic camera option and the original's fixed angles.

The classic Resident Evil control scheme remains for purists, along with a more modern style for moving characters more easily - in the direction of the analogue stick.
RE's shitty fixed camera angles added to the immersion and kinda made RE what it is; I would really like to not be forced to use them. First World Problems, I know.
SNK Playmore is suing Square Enix for SE using SNK's material in High Score Girl w/o SNK's permission
http://www.siliconera.com/2014/08/06...-infringement/SNK and Square Enix are in a dispute, and we don’t mean in a friendly cross-over fighter, either. SNK recently filed a criminal lawsuit against Square Enix for usage of SNK’s intellectual property without prior consent from the company.
To summarize what’s been going on, it appears that Square Enix have infringed on numerous intellectual properties of SNK Playmore through their popular manga, called High Score Girl, which is about arcade gaming featuring various video game characters.
According to SNK Playmore, the infringement came to light when the anime adaptation of the arcade manga was in the works, and the animation studio contacted SNK to ask about their usage of characters and music in the show. As it turns out, SNK’s content has been used in the manga all this time without their consent.
While they don’t go too far into detail about what exactly was used in the High Score Girl manga, SNK Playmore claims that there were over 100 instances where characters from the King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown were used without consent.
SNK Playmore say they attempted to contact Square Enix on the matter, but did not receive a proper response, which eventually led to their filing of a criminal lawsuit against the company through the Osaka police back in May of this year.
Yesterday, on August 5, the Osaka police raided Square Enix’s office located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, along with other concerned parties, which violated copyright infringement laws.
Investigations are currently ongoing and more details will be available upon further interrogations and evidence inspection.

I hope the people at SNK are huge Square/SNES fans and just want a new Chrono or Mana title as compensation.
Shadow Realms teaser #3
I got a random email with I guess the previous chosen teaser a few weeks ago. Was like "awesome I guess I get to beta something I don't know anything about" and then let down when it was just a video for something that won't be out for a while.
The email was for the first Chosen trailer where SE slipped up and leaked the name of the game within the file name. Bioware is saving the name reveal for Gamescom.
