I'll play BQB again, but I'm out of all the other league's save the money league. Didn't have time to keep up with the others last season, so it's not fair to waste a spot someone wants.

This doesn't make sense to me. Wouldn't you simply be relegated to the previous league seeing as how the top players from there are being promoted each year?
If we're doing this right, let's do this right.
I mean, if I fail in BGC (I guess it is now?) there should be a slot reserved in BGW for me since players will be promoted...unless they're double dipping...which isn't exactly fair to begin with.
Had today off so I just rolled out of bed. If this doesn't make sense, just lemme know. I just don't want to play in 1500 leagues this year. I really don't think I should be required to play in BGW again just for the sake of holding a slot that should be mine if I'm relegated anyways. If we're gonna make these the champs, it should be on an even playing field, not one where some people have 2 or 3 ways to get in. I know one of the catches is dealing with people that are in like 3 leagues that qualify. It's not hard. Just make them pick.
I don't want this too complicated. It's going to work like the Champions League does in Europe. For instance, Chelsea is going to be in the Champions League next year, but it's also going to be in the Premier League as well.
The only difference between this and that example is that people can participate in multiple feeder leagues (ex. BGW + 20 man + IDP). Sure, we could institute a policy where you have to pick the league that counts but that seems excessive. I don't really care if a person has more opportunities to qualify for the Champions League by participating in more feeder leagues, to be honest. I'm only going to play in BGW because (1) I don't care to play the other formats, and (2) I don't care that much about getting into BGC.
If the majority wants such a policy, though, we can do it.
I see your point Gadritan, but I think opening BG South will provide enough 'standard' leagues where if you want in, you can probably get in, whereas E/W are pretty full. Then the more esoteric leagues are just further opportunities should you enjoy that type.
Also, how will BG South affect next year's Champion league?
Personally I love that I have been playing against the same people in BGW for as long as I have. I also really like the way we have the setup now. The other leagues are different enough that I don't mind people having multiple chances. The only 'rule' I would put in is that you can only be in one E, W, or S. Aside from that go nuts, have fun.
Fair enough. If my spot wasn't scooped yet, re-invite me to BGW please. If it has, no biggie.
could do a straight up relegation style where u have a Champions>>Tier 2>> Tier 3, and work it like english premier soccer. each person only gets 1 team in the "premier" group. then, if people wanna run other stuff like 2qb, 20man, etc on the side, then so be it...again, like others have said, jsut my 2cents
ok I got BG south up and running, gonna scroll back and start sending PMs.
If i can get one of the formats from one of the other leagues that would be awesome.
I'll do South too if there's an open spot

For those wondering BGSouth will be exactly like BGEast and BGWest in terms of setup and scoring. It will be a recurring free league that once you are in, you are in until you decide to leave. Here is a complete list of all BG leagues
BG Champions League 2011 - League that is invite only, and invites are sent once a year. This league is made up of 'champions' from the other leagues listed below (minus money).
BG West - The 2nd coming of all that was right and good of BGEast. 12 players per year.
BG East - The original. This is the league that started this whole mess. 12 players per year.
BG South - New and Improved. This is for everyone who wants to get into BGE/W but can't because they only found out about BG last year. 12 players per year.
BG 20-Man - The BG league for people who like to have 3 good players on their team and a bunch of trash. 20 players per year, obviously.
BG 2 QB - We heard some people like some QB's with their QB's so we made a league where they could put some QB in their QB. (Yes that was bad, now ask me if I care) 12 players?
BG IDP - The league for people who REALLY like to draft individuals. If you know what IDP is, you know what this league is, if you don't then trust me, it probably isn't for you. This league seems to fluctuate every year in number of people. I think the min is 10.
BG Money - The league for people who take fantasy seriously, or have too much money, either way. This league is considered completely separate from the rest of the leagues.
People can be in as many as they want. The only unwritten exception would be E/W/S, a player should only be in one of those at a time. There is no difference in E/W/S, one isn't better than the other (though we can all agree West is the Best), that is what the champions league is for.
Questions?
BG BQBL - Everyone loves to cheer a loser. Now, you get to cheer for 4 teams QBs to completely and totally suck!
You forgot to include that BG E/W/S uses the derpy scoring system![]()
what kind of scoring system?
i'd like to play if there's any spots left in the 12 man leagues.
Hey kisada we still got room in BG South if u want in. If you can PM your email address ill send u an invite when I get home from work.
