They'll come back down after people realize that their Magian staves are still better and that five inventory spaces isn't worth 2M.

I'd definitely pay 2M for 5 inv spaces. It actually sounds like a good deal.

Which jobs not on Magian staves need to carry around all eight elemental staves? Honest question, outside of BLU needing a couple for cleaving I can't think of any job that needs all (or even most) of them.

Probably no one has this yet and so no data yet. But I dont see stats such as 'PDT-' from the Terra being carried over here. Likewise, what about the SMN Prep-? Last thing I wanted is to add this and then having to carry 8 other staff for SMN or at least another Terra for PDT-.

-Perp carries, but it's missing the -PDT from Terra's and the RATK from Vulcan's, so you need to buy those again after you craft one.

Which either means it gets a straight out bonus, or, more like SE's style, means it'll be weather dependent to match old staves.

The entire set is somewhat useful for BLU in some scenarios, and I'm relatively certain that COR can also get some use out of it.

How does that match old staves? Weather bonuses and penalties are independent of the bonus/penalties associated with casting equipped with elemental staves.

Most people use that, or, if they need it for a certain hit build (on non-Wildfire ranged weapons, of course), Mekki Shakki. If you're doing Wildfire, the new Chatoyant Staff is actually a better choice than Vulcan's because of AGI+5.

I would like it as mentioned above for my Cor. But if its weather dependent to activate its affinity based states, it becomes pretty useless as an all round staff. As far as magian trials go, i did the ones for the big nuke spells like ice and thunder, but still keep the hq staves for accuracy and offhand spells for specific nm's should they prove to be resistant to ice and thunder.
