It wasn't insinuated, it was right out stated.

The manga has a whole conversation between Goku and Vegeta on the Planet of the Supreme Kai (or whatever) when Kid Buu is headed towards them. Kibito Kai suggests using a wish to bring Gohan to kill Kid Buu but Goku wants to try instead. Gohan was PLENTY capable of ending it.

Ultimate Gohan. That's not regular Gohan, you can tell from the hair and facial features. It's Ultimate Gohan.

Leads me to believe one of two things:

2) Bullshit plot retcon nonsense

I always thought the alternate timeline during the Cell Saga and afterwards with Future Trunks was interesting as shit. During that arc, you can tell whats his face was making it his last.

Future Trunks was always one of my favourite characters along with Future Gohan. I wish they did more with that story (and the biggest disappointment of GT--apart from it existing--was that Trunks wasn't a boss like his alternate version).

At buu he was a big let down (dabura fight) and the face that he owned buu for like 1 episode then got absorbed

Always disappointed me that Gohan was never allowed to surpass his pop.

An interview with Toriyama indicated that was where he intended to go--Goku dies and Gohan steps up as the next big badass, but they just never went through with it. A shame, really.

This is untrue. Krillin is the strongest human in the DBZ universe and it has been stated numerous times. They don't do the best job of showing it though.

That's cause no matter how strong the strongest human is, he's not a saiyan. I would agree that Krillin is the strongest human and that much is clear, but naturally when comparing to even Goten or Trunks he's a lot weaker. It sucks, because DBZ isn't exactly diverse with who can be a hero and how.

As for Gohan being SSJ thing, well plot wise we don't know what happens after periods of -no use-. Then again, Movie 13, which is an unspecified time during/before/after the Buu Saga, didn't have Gohan going SSJ.

Regarding SSJ3 and Gohan -- I think the anime made it clear that Gohan was a stronger outcome after unlocking. He fights Buu (which absorbed Gotenks and Piccolo) evenly for a short time. Filler or not I dunno/don't care too much. When Goku attempts to fight him later on, although he wasn't really concentrating while SSJ3, he was unable to keep up with Buu. I guess that's as clear as an indication in the anime as we're going to get.

That was filler to my knowledge, never happened in the manga and not canon. That'd make Yamcha at base as strong as Goku at the end of the Cell Saga (since he was beating Olibu easily), but then again, that tourney as also filler.

I've never seen anything state that Krillin is stronger than Tien aside from speculation. That being said, even if he is, it wouldn't surprise me, but just don't see how people have been stating it as fact, lol, unless I overlooked something.


All I hope that is that in the movie, everyone gets a bit of usefulness instead of Goku having to do everything. Maybe the main bad guy has some strong henchmen, where Vegeta could be fighting one and Piccolo another at the same time Goku fights the main bad guy, so that the 3 of them can't gang on Goku, etc, but it's likely for everyone to get stomped and Goku to have to do everything
