Dragon Ball Z (2013 movie)

Current generation Vegeta is quite cool (as seen in that anniversary movie) -- him and Goku were more like bros rather than rivals. I hope they keep that up. I know this means deviating from the established canon (DBZ Eps 289-291 shows Vegeta still retaining some sort of "serious" tension between them, where as in the anniversary one it was all fun and games)

And yeh Lucavi I somewhat predicted how the movie may go and quickly decided that it will suck very early on. Good point about Vegeta though, I totally neglected that cliche when I made my predictions!

I just hope everyone is useful in the movie. It's why I liked Yu Yu Hakusho. Take the weakest one, Kuwabara, and he's still a bad ass, even while being the comic relief at the same time. Each of the main characters were bad asses, each had their own fights, and all felt important for the majority of the show.

My main gripe with DBZ was the difference in power/experience was so great, that anyone but Goku was essentially worthless. (added experience in there, because even though Gohan got more powerful than Goku, he still got his puss ass beat. If you took that power and applied it to Gohan from Trunks' future, on the other hand, that'd have been some epic shit)

Yes, but there could be more than one main bad guy, and have a badass take one on each, leaving the main character for Goku (or Gogeta/Vegito).

Such as Togoru vs Yusuke, and his friends getting the other fucks in his squad.

Not really, unless Chiaotzu took down the big bad which would necessitate "Why was this person a threat again?" "Why is this a movie again?"

Previous DBZ movies have had sub bosses taken down by guys like Piccolo so there is no reason they couldn't flesh this out and give other people a chance to shine. Seriously, Vegeta being the guy that delivers the final blow and saves the Earth/Planet/Universe would be a step in the right direction rather than the standard "Vegeta saves Goku, Vegetas powers up, Vegeta gets fucked up"

Toguro and Yusuke;'s fight sucked haha. Back in 1994 when it was almost impossible to get hold of the episodes (dubbed in Cantonese, in Hong Kong) all the media/mags/previews hyped up the fight so much. 80% Toguro and Yusuke was cool, but then it got boring/depressing, so all that bullshit I was subjected to gave me an anti-climax fight.

But however CS, it does seem like they're trying to give other characters a bit of use in the movie, seeing how if Vegeta SSJ3 was shown then something must be slightly changing (not seen the pics/trailers today that's posted -- blocked at work). I rather they not focus on all the chars though and just a small handful, as it seems pointless other than trying to demonstrate they still got some use (the last scene from the anniversary movie showing all the chars doing their signature moves)

Even Yagirobe gets points for cutting Vegetas tail off and stopping Goku from getting killed. Yamcha will never catch a break. lol

Looks like vintage Toriyama to me. Only thing "shitty" is the actual quality of the capture. Its grainy as all hell, but that says nothing about Toriyama's style. It looks the same as it always does.

If niggas are going to speculate, though: isn't it odd that it looks like Goku has at least 3 locks of hair in front of him in that "SSJ3" picture? Normally he only has one. Granted, it could be the wind, but typically, even when there's wind blowing, he never gets more than his main forehead lock and potentially a shoulder lock falling in front of him.

Could this be some weird cross between SSJ1 and SSJ3? TUNE INTO THE NEXT MOVIE EPISODE OF DRAGON BALL ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ~!!!
