Productivity + Finance management freeware?

Trying to keep track of progress at a ton of things (competitive game x1 maybe x2, technical guitar, music theory, contracted writing, small site dev + seo, personal finance). I'm using paper & pen but I want to switch over to software, preferably something free so that I can experiment with it before I invest.

Anything that lets me track spend/earn per day is ideal. If it has graphs, even better. I kind of want something with a ticker on it cuz tickers are the shit.

Microsoft Excel, I'd say. It's really the best since you can tailor it the way you want.

Other than that, there is Microsoft Money Plus Sunset. Its discontinued a while ago afaik and went freeware.

I like MS Excel (or its freeware equivalents). A newer MS Office tool I have seen popup is "MS OneNote". Not sure if there is a freeware version or not, but it is excellent for note taking, and combining all other sorts of misc notes from all the other office programs.

Excel is the greatest program in the history of computers. It's the one part of Office suite that I don't feel the OpenOffice/GoogleDocs versions really compare to.
