^ There's a really lenient input buffer if you hold the button down
The only thing really execution heavy in the game to me is microdash moves
Holding doesn't really help much since you have to cancel it into a DP as soon as it hits and it's using the same button. It also won't come out at all if you hold it during the teleport animation. I think she just ignores inputs while she's invisible? Ends up being tight timing no matter what. But I guess it's fine, I think I can get the timing down just tapping 2B.
After playing around with her some more in training mode, she has a ton of other fairly tight links too, so I should probably just learn the timing for everything anyway. Her GA relaunch combos don't even work reliably if I mash D (or hold it) to try to get Strike Fall to come out as early as possible. If I just time it, it works every time (well, every time I don't fuck up the timing). Feels like they just really want you to time everything properly on this character.
But it's w/e, she's super fun to play, so I'll stick with her and get her stuff down eventually
Yeah, honestly as she is now she's more resetty than full combo anyways. I actually play against several Izayois locally, the best ones start the round playing SF2 zoning style, then as soon as they get stars for Gain Arts they go nuts with instant overheads.
The only thing I would avoid is the full screen Gain Arts fireball > teleport behind game, if it's predicted it's very easy to neutral jump out and punish hard for it. One of the best things used against me was finishing a normal combo with Strike Fall in the corner, immediately popping GA then teleporting behind > instant overhead.
Calli, how different is noel in this game? I only played her in CT, hated her after only 1 hour of CS, CS2 and CSE each.
Uhh she's pretty different from every version, but mostly just in combo routes. 4D is still stupidly good. She's not top-tier but she's close, still has the deal of several high/low mixups in the same string, just the combos after you get a hit are different. She gets 3-4.5k for a midscreen off a good starter like CH 5C or something, and gets 6.5k+ for burning a bunch of resources(anything over 4k in CP is a 'big' combo).
Her zoning is also different now, she lost the short range Optic Barrel and it was replaced with a shotgun-type move, so I think she only has mid and far Barrel now.
Library Mode was dropped due to being too Difficult to Translate
http://www.siliconera.com/2014/04/08...-usa-responds/BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma shipped without Library Mode. This giant glossary is a reference point for BlazBlue fans with details on the game’s universe. So, why wasn’t library mode included in the English release? Siliconera has a statement from Arc System Works USA.
Why is the statement from Arc System Works instead of Aksys? While Aksys published BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma in North America, Arc System Works USA localized the title for the West. The Library Mode in the Japanese version of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma explained terminology found in the BlazBlue novel series as well as defined fighting game terms unique to Japan. Due to the difficulty of accurately conveying these terms in English, Arc System Works decided to remove it from the North American version of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma so it would not be erroneously presented to North American audiences.
Are you fucking kidding me? Seriously...
Hilarious that it happened in the one FG with the most confusing story as well. I didn't even know that was in my JP version since I no speaka

I main Hazama and haven't looked at other characters that much you may want to dig on the forums a bit and see if they have a combo bible. There is one for Hazama that I use that is extremely helpful, but like I said I am not sure if people have made these for other characters.
