at this point everything is 40+ DOW/M/H/L except lnc and botany and fishing

Can't find people to clear Garuda, can't find people to clear CC/AV (not even speed runs mind you, just a fucking clear)
Hell I can't even find a competent group (my 3-5 main friends don't seem to be enough when we PUG 2 spots) to clear "To Kill a Raven"
I actually offered Kotomi's LS gil to take me along just to get the win :/ but they were busy.

When 2.0 hits and if they allow server transfer for legacy members, 99% chance i'll come "be with you" .... in that way.

How are relic weapons in this game? Are they like woah awesome or anything? Or is it like a decent upgrade? Do they grant a new ability, I don't think there's WS in 14 is there?

I believe they are mostly the best weapons available, but not by any massive margin... and they have some nice unique skill bonuses like skill recast reductions, refresh, etc.

They don't actually grant any new skills, unfortunately. However, they have implied that these will be eventually improved upon through the game (think magian).

Relics are beyond anyone that doesn't have full Darklight with triple melds to hit caps. I believe the caps for relic hover around ~380. If you cant even come close to that, its not worth going for a relic, or I should say its harder to make full use of its potential (DMG wise).

Not to scare anyone off or anything, but getting a relic wont make your dmg instantly jump by default. It mainly raises your maximum potential if you have the gear to support it.

Hopefully they can be upgraded in future patches to increase power and/or grant special weaponskills.

Not to mention that very few Darklight pieces support jobs much beyond what Paragon or melds do, Corselet aside.

The warrior darklight set feet/head/body combo'd with a good tripple str gloves gives WAR the potential to cap out bravura.

The WAR/DRG/PLD set is really nice for WAR yeah, they really did that one right. It wouldn't have hurt them to put PIE on it either, and leave more of the MNK/DRG/BRD set to focus on MNK/BRD stats.

I wish I could help ya. But the rest of the shell doesn't really want to recruit more as we're already pulling relics for around 16 people.

As for Garuda, we only really farm it when we need the clear for relic. So you wouldn't see much action there and raids are the same way.

It's sad, really. We're 1 of maybe 4 linkshells that can successfully do anything related to endgame that they've added as of late. Content is either extremely unfriendly to the player, or people here truly suck. We have people that make threads like this instead of bettering themselves to actually perform in an endgame setting.

DRG can use both sets, they can get the PIE on caligae.

Ah, misunderstood. Just a matter of having one's cake etc, as it is DRG is pampered by DL gear. By having access to both sets they get the pick of the litter.

MNK/BRD are totally shafted by comparison. MNK has limited use for caligae, BRD has limited use for eyepatch, and neither has any use for hands.

Well you're on my server, so I can confirm that our server does indeed just suck. Most players here are so bad and just want things handed to them instead of actually working for it. I was finally able to join a linkshell (Ultima) that was interested in working hard and progressing, and we've managed to do 17 min AV on our second day and we're working on Garuda/CC 17 min, so hopefully one of these days we'll be up there with you Nep.

Also, congratulations on all your relics. You do our server proud.

Curtana first, Axe next...

This is the set I use for Ifrit (~4200hp with FPB). For the nitpickers (how I miss you guys!) Shield is HP+151 (3x meld), belt is Enmity+42 (2x meld), Legs are HP+103 (2x meld), and the feet are Sentinel's Sabatons with HP+127 (2x meld). Also have full HDL for BRD-able situations.

seems you weren't the only one! it took us far too long to get there and beat it, but now we're golden. made some more relics last night and a few more to come tonight
