Usually they're just referred to as the Thrawn Trilogy iirc.
Personally, I'd love to see a Battlestar Galactica like series based on the X-wing novels. It'd be a perfect chance to "reboot" the series with fresh actors, since most of the characters are new, and use the show to lead up to the Thrawn Trilogy as 7, 8, and 9. But this is Lucas we're talking about, so it'll never happen.
I wonder how many years must pass after Lucas dies before his estate will allow remakes.
I hope I'm still around for the remakes. The lulz to be had if it ever happens would be priceless.
^Is this X-Wing meets Gundam?
was debating posting this here or comic thread, but chose here
anyway, my friend has gotten back into comics and really likes star wars. he wants to know what star wars comics are good, but I dont really follow them. Any recommendations?
I don't follow them either, but I've heard Dark Horse has some good Star Wars comics.
I haven't stayed current, but Dark Empire was a good story. (Dark Horse comics).

New Bloodlines novel officially renames Slave Leia as "The Hutt Slayer." Leia having an English accent is also made canon.
This thread is nearly 4 years old, but I couldn't think of a better place to put this news as it fucks with OT fandom.
Triggered.
