Hoping they don't jump straight to Thanos for Avengers 2, he's pretty much the ultimate threat and should be saved for a 3rd installment.

I thought their plan was to do Thanos in the 2nd one.
Assuming they get there. It might not be worth it to keep saving something for a movie that could potentially not happen.
Thanos is going to be in Guardians, no? I can't imagine having him in a phase 2 movie, then skipping over him until the end of phase 3.
Thanos will not be a villain in GotG or appear in Avengers 2. I'm guessing maybe a mention or small cameo in GotG but he will be the Main bad-dude in Avengers 3.
Think the threat of Thanos is what spurs the Collector into action in GotG according to the rumors. But no actual Thanos there unless it a small cameo again.
thanos puts the gauntlet together during the credits of thor2, cap2 and gotg like fury assembling the avengers
edit: ant man too i guess
i'd rather them do
Avengers 2 with Thanos as the main villain, something happens to send Hulk into space, Phase 3 has Planet Hulk, and than instead of Avengers 3 make a World War Hulk movie :D
world war hulk ... all my monies!!!
The thing I'm worried about is if they do decide to do an Avengers 3 movie, the odds of RDJ playing Tony are drastically slim. He's already done four films and is promised for a fifth. He's already said he might be done with Iron Man.
And I really don't want to live in a world with not RDJ as Tony Stark.
Can you imagine how much money they'd be asking for by the time a 3rd Avengers is made.
Let's hope they don't ruin it:
Under the two-picture agreement, Downey will star as Tony Stark/Iron Man in “Marvel’s The Avengers 2” and “Marvel’s The Avengers 3.” Downey is represented at CAA by Bryan Lourd, Jim Toth and Matt Leaf and by his attorneys Tom Hansen and Stewart Brookman of the firm Hansen Jacobson.
Downey, Jr.’s last two Marvel films, 2012’s “Marvel’s The Avengers” and this year’s “Iron Man 3,” rank as two of the top five grossing films of all time, collectively earning over $2.7 billion worldwide to date.
“Marvel’s The Avengers 2” is being written and directed by Joss Whedon. Featuring favorites from the first Avengers film and new Marvel characters never before seen on the big screen, “Marvel’s The Avengers 2” is slated to begin production in March 2014 and open in theaters May 1, 2015.

As long as RDJ is in it, it won't be the worst thing in the world.
Maybe Marvel decided to give him whatever demands he had since DC seems to be creeping back up!
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (the guy who plays Kick Ass) to be Quicksilver?
http://geektyrant.com/news/2013/6/20...er-in-x-m.htmlWhen asked if there's any truth about Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson playing Quicksilver in the film, all he said was,
I'm VERY excited about my thing.

Am I the only one worried that Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant Man are gonna bomb badly? All of the previous films have had mainstream appeal (Iron Man, Capt. America, Hulk, Thor), but I doubt people outside of comic fans knows anything about Ant Man or Guardians of the Galaxy. I mean, there is a reason Black Widow and Hawkeye didn't get their own movies.
Think it has more to do with Marvel bringing out the big guns to establish the universe before moving on with the (even more) lesser known characters.
Well the marketing will be there. All the fans will go, and the hardcores definitely will. I think they will do okayish simply because they are Marvel and people will go see some of them even if they're not as well known.
Casual fans will be sucked into the awesomeness that is Rocket Raccoon and Groot.
