Magi Ep2

I really enjoyed this. They went through the material really quickly, but not in a bad way. There are some really nice transitions in the direction, and a good sense of pacing the runtime around. Scenes which matters had great animation, lots of creative visual usage to create tone and shift the focus of the presentation. The best part is how exaggerated the setting and the art is. It's clear that A-1 Pictures giving a lot of care and love to the source material.

Really lived up to my hype for it(so far). Absolutely can't wait to see more. I wish the same could be said to Sword Art Online.

I never saw the original run or read the manga, but wow on this episode. Just wow.

Should check out the manga and or original anime, they go into a bit more detail on stuff, as for the new anime where it just goes over the "most useful stuff" and skips the details of whats happening. I'm curious if they will be doing the ant part later.. although the ant part started slow, it got kinda awesome I think later O_o

New Space Bros was awesome as per usual, and not only is Mutta voiced by the same guy that voices Sanji from One Piece, but Mutta and Hibito's mom is voice by the awesome lady who does Luffy to boot. All the more reason to love an already amazing show. And they just started doing a new intro for it, so the show is gonna be around for a while still, which is amazing. I have no idea how far ahead the manga is, or if it's completed or whathaveyou.

Bakuman S3 E2 came out as well, a fun episode doing what the show/manga does best really.

Oh, yay, all the places have had the sense to open up ep1s finally.

K - I should have noticed this during the first pass through the chart. Fucking STYLE, with good pacing. (Also, that was random.) THIS IS A CONTENDER! My dark horses were wrong.
Shin Sekai Yori - Well, already seen it before today, but for completeness's sake. It's lovely, intriguing, and could go all the way if it doesn't trainwreck. (And hell, it's been two decades, and there has been no serious adaptation of "that book", so fuck it, it's time.) A contender.
Robotics;Notes - So good so far, a decent intro. If I'm picking up the plot hooks right, this could be interesting. Epicness will not be apparent until further in.
Zetsuen no Tempest - This is solid. Well done action. Lots of Shakespeare woven in, wonder just how important that will be.
Magi - It's pretty, could be great. Aladdin's idiot ball is just a touch too heavy. Good god though, that was more gonk than the lady from Kaiji, an achievement.
BTOOOM! - It's alright, a little dragged out/standard though. Post-credits helped however. We shall see which gets darker, this or Shin Sekai Yori.
Ixion Saga DT - MOOOOOOOONSTER HUNTEEEEEEEEEER! Ok though, production value is a bit low, kinda generic. But it is a bit off the wall, and picks up on the last stretch.
Girls und Panzer - 3DCG mixed is a bit jarring when they use it. Not really big on the cutesy, but the premise is crazy enough I'll give it a shot. Otherwise fine. (Fuck those council bitches though, assholes.)
Kamisama Hajimemashita - ... mmm, it's got some potential, though it needs better production values. But oh god, fuck that OP and ED, especially the OP.

This is a pretty good fall season.

My take after 1-3 episodes of everything on a 1-5 scale.
K - fucking awful and the animation style reminds me of 15 year old girls on Tumblr. Plot: 1 Animation: 2

Shin Sekai Yori - Quite obviously "The Giver". Looks nice, interesting adaptation of the story. Pacing keeps me on the edge of my seat waiting for new episodes, but kind of in an annoying way. Definite watch. Plot: 4 Animation: 4

Robotic Notes - I really enjoyed the first EP. It's light-hearted and fun. It's going to be the same character dynamics we've seen 10,000 times but hey, whatever. Giant Robot Afterschool Club Go! Plot 2.5 Animation 3.5-4

ZnoT - Hilarious. The plot is awful, don't get me wrong. "GOTTA STOP THE GIANT APPLES! SORRY I BANGED YOUR LITTLE SISTER." I mean, it's really bad, lol. To counter that we have a 16 year old dude curb-stomping chicks in mini-skirts. It's like Darker than Black S2 without the beard. I love it. Plot: 1.5 (Giant domestic abuse apples make a better story than catgirls. Suck it.) Animation: 3.5

Magi - Also hilarious. I really enjoyed Magi and I think it's going to be one of the more enjoyable shows this season. As of writing this I've only seen EP1 though so if EP2 blows don't mind me. Flute-head makes me think of Pyramid-head. Wanted somebody to get their skin ripped off. Plot: 3.5 Animation: 4

BTOOOM! - I rape you, I rape you, I rape you, now I rape you too. Oh, we have bombs too. Only Gulkeeva should be watching this. K-level. Plot: 1 Animation 3

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun - "Make one peep and I rape you." After watching the first episode 3 times I was certain this show was going to take my #1 of the season hands-down. It was fucking hilarious with awesome timing and character interactions. EP2 was very funny, but not quite on the same level. EP3 (I've gotten halfway through it, got bored) seems to be following the slight downward trend. The characters really shine in this series though so unless it gets awful real fast I'm keeping it near the top. Plot 3.5 Animation 3.5

Little Busters - Made it 3 minutes in and shut it off. Pretty sure it gave me hepatitis C.

Pyscho-Pass - I thought this started off very slow but by the end of the episode I was loving it. Hard to say much about it other than it's Minority Report without Tom Cruise (which is all that movie needed anyways, less Tom Cruise). Little bit of rape-y, little bit of awesome death scene. This season is rape-tastic. I think this show has a lot of potential though so yeah. Plot: 3.5 Animation: 4

Sword Art Online (S1 and S2) - It's atrocious but I can't look away. Really though, such an awesome concept executed terribly. If the fight frequency and length were increased by like 300% and the inter-personal drama was reduced by like 10,000% I'd be in love. There just aren't words for how little I care about Kirito and Asuna cybering. I love a good romance, I really do, but I hate shitty romances and this is just shitty. I did enjoy the 13th and 14th episodes though. 15 went back to being a pretty big disappointment. Plot: 2 Animation 3

I haven't watched other stuff because nothing else interested me enough. I'll be watching for weekly reviews of Chuubywhatever though and might pick it up a long the way.

I'm dropping K, BTOOOM, Little Busters. Holding onto SAO pretty much until I see fairy shit.

Although almost every show is ecchi in some way, thinking... Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo and Onii-chan Dakedo Ai sae areba kankeinai yo ne with to love ru will be the top 3 . Never know with the other shows, what they may pull out! Project K cat girl is pretty high on the list of awesome...!

Well if ya mean hentai... I was watching otome dori episode 2... erm anyway! I think it'll be a decent series, anime with ecchi tends to animate better then hentai videos, although there are a few rare cases!

Seriously what the fuck. OVA's from the 90s look better than what's put out these days. The only ones left that really even try to animate are the ones obsessed with ahegao.

it gets so much better, the chuuni quoting of Shakespearean play, and the chemistry of main character banging the sister while the brother is too fucking retarded to realize it makes for some hilarious scene.

if nothing else, it's BONES animating fight, and if it involves more domestic abuse, everybody wins.
