As soon as they fix the bug about custom characters losing their voice pack, when you swap them out of your party, then I think it's about as major bug-free as it's going to get, which is to say, you won't/shouldn't run into anything aside from small mechanic issues with gear/talents.

If you like the BG games, then you'll enjoy this a lot.

Also, D:OS is great. I am on my 3rd and probably last playthrough of it now. Being a dick to everyone this time :D

Steam doesn't do refunds except in very specific situations,and trying to go thru Steam support will likely give you a brain aneurysm anyways.

Yes, it's just the tutorial, so there's no way to avoid everyone dieing, even if you kill them yourself (which also ends the 'tutorial').

I see, are there any hidden characters in the first town? I snagged the wizard, and if i "Recruit a person" does it become a named person with decent stats, or is it just a scrub body to absorb hits and do crap damage.

You recruited the mage, and in the first town, you can also get the fighter standing next to the tree, after you've slept in the inn. You can also get a Priest, along the road to your stronghold, and a Bard at the entrance to your stronghold. The rest are available in chapter two, being a Ranger, Druid, & Paladin. None of them are particularly optimized, so recruiting a character gives you the most control over how to build a character.

Interestingly, if you sell everything you find, to the shop in the tutorial, before picking up the water bottle, you can recruit 5 lvl 1 adventurers as soon as you hit Guilded Vale and still have a weapon/armor for your main character to use. A full party, whether hired, or made from the NPCs available, makes the Temple under the town a hell of a lot more manageable.

sweet mother of god. invididual stealth. Best part of the update right there. mabye now I can actually be a melee rogue or be assed to lvl up stealth

loljustkidding. Melee-anything-that-isn't-tank will still get blown to shit on encounters that matter because threat is weird in this game.

I don't see the need, for AI, in this type of game, but I like the other features.

The micromanagement can get frustrating at times, so having even a base level movement/auto attacking AI goes a long way imo.
