Well just found a use for money. After doing Crestwood main story part a vendor in Skyhold started selling treaties that give boosts to power and inquisition rep. 6886 gold treaty was good for 3000 rep.

holy mage choice, batman
Has anyone even manged to win an operation in MP?
Dammmmmmn at that bow
What lvl did you kill the dragon? I'm at 12 and having issues with the hinterlands one :/
The AI is beyond fucktarded.
With the artificer passive that reduces cooldown on crit +along with the Subterfuge one that restores Stamina on crit, I can pretty much do a loop of Leaping Shot followed by Full Draw with a double damage boost from Leaping.
Had the full draw hit for 10.5k on the last dragon in Emprise, but fuck that thing is hard. Can one shot any non tank in a second. Guess level 23 don't play
Didn't see this cause you had posted it while typing my previous comment.
I think I killed the Hinterlands dragon at 12 or 13. The easiest dragon is probably the one at the Western Approach just because it doesn't have any gimmick phases. So far I've killed the Hinterlands/Western/Storm Coast dragons along with the 3 that occupy Emprise. Couldn't kill the last one until I hit 20 because that dude is no joke, but the massive xp from him knocked me up to 21 (you stop earning xp from killing stuff at 20, so it's only quests and stuff afterwards).
The Hinterlands dragon was hard though, it took a full stock of healing potions and regeneration potions, mostly due to the flying phase and party members just being dipshits and standing in fireballs.
yeah, I finally beat him with tons of pausing. Was lvl 12. Was constantly having to switch between people because the AI is so fucking bad. Whenever I would target the adds, everyone would and then the dragon would back off and start sniping me with fireballs because no one was engaged with him.
Then my tanker wouldn't pull adds off anyone and mages/archer would stand in front of his face instead of backing off. Just. I hate the AI in this game. It's trash.
I tried my hand at fighting the hinterlands dragon just now, was level 10. managed to kill all the whelps fairly easily, but once i went up against the dragon, one hurricane wing and everyone except the warriors just died. I need to respec my main character to ice damage and build a frost weapon to have a decent chance. As well as have a full stock of potions.
The elemental damage difference isn't huge from what I've seen. For a Mage sure, but I've generally been keeping my mages specced all over the place for maximum combo potential.
Yeah, I was gunna respec Vivvy to be mostly ice but decided against it. Fire is definitely useless against the dragons but the ice spells weren't being crazy effective. Iron Bull was doing the bulk of the damage, I think. along with Sera. I would suggest waiting to do the dragons until you unlock everyones specialization. I wasn't fond of Iron Bull before but he's a freaking beast now. If I could do it over/when I do it again. I'll make my mage as supportive/controlly as possible.
The Hurricane wing is pretty annoying, the second I see him doing it I make all the range people chug a regen pot. Then make sure to get em outta face range or else they can get fire breath'd. From there it's pretty straightforward until she starts to fly away at fixed %. Look for cover and then prep for adds. Rinse repeat, I think, 3 times? Then she'll fly away to her roost and you finish her off there.
Anyone else having instances of their companions not getting their advanced class? I'm currently level 12, with skywatch and my own AC, but the vast majority of my companions still only have the 4 initial trees. Do they have to like me enough to unlock it or something?
Edit: apparently just need to bring them along for a while and it should unlock after a short while
Getting later into the game, it's jarring how much better Morrigan's hair looks compared to everyone else.
Just found a bow that shoots 3 arrows per attack, that seems fair.
Worst thing about rolling as a archer in this game is that you have no reason to take Varric. Also why no healy mages
Been rolling Vivienne, Cassandra, Blackwall
Healing Mages will be added in the future for $4.99
