and then came dragon age 2, which completely fucked up every single thing about what I loved in DA:O. I have very little faith in BioWare doing it right, so graphics are all I have >:C

DA:O holds up very well with the graphic mods available, and even DA 2 was moderately playable after some gameplay mods.

Very minor on my list of concerns for the game. Tactical mode (check), no rehashed dungeons (check), and make having a healer matter (dunno yet) are my primary areas of concern. 2/3 are checked off

Kinect voice commands confirmed

Dragon Age: Inquisition will get Kinect functionality after all, despite claims that it wouldn’t. Sounds like that partnership deal between EA and Microsoft is kicking in again.

Speaking with OXM, BioWare’s creative director Mike Laidlaw said, “We’re expecting that Xbox 360 and Xbox One editions will ship with a Kinect-enabled voice command feature, just like Mass Effect 3 did.”

No DLC characters

Dragon Age: Inquisition will not contain post-release download content with added character, due to how “enmeshed in the system companion characters are,” according to the creative director Mike Laidlaw.

Speaking with OXM, Laidlaw said if Bioware were to add extra characters as DLC, the content would have to be included on the game disc.

“Because of how deeply enmeshed in the system companion characters are, we can’t just add them on the fly, part of them has to be shipped on the disc,” he said. “[This] has led to criticism that we’re forcing people to pay for content they already own.

“It’s not the case, but we’ve decided this time to not go that route. There will be no DLC party members.”

Inquisition will contain nine party members in the game players can choose from, and these will be the only characters throughout the game.

So, far characters confirmed for the title are Cassandra, Iron Bull, Sera, Solas, Varric and Vivienne.

Bioware has been releasing character reveals over Twitter, promising a new one each month. There are three left to reveal.
