The original Kingdom Hearts is back in gorgeous HD with new content and more, exclusive to PlayStation 3!

Lots of you have been asking, and we’ve been anxious to tell ya, so without further delay, it’s our great pleasure to announce the North American release of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX! This collection contains the classic original game redone in HD along with the immediate continuation of Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories and HD enhanced cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days!

Not only do you get these classic titles in breathtaking HD, but the original Kingdom Hearts is enhanced with Kingdom Hearts Final Mix previously only available in Japan. This new edition comes complete with additional weapons, enemies, skills, scenes and more!

In Kingdom Hearts, Sora wields the magical keyblade in search of his lost friends, making new ones with Disney’s Goofy and Donald along the way. The story continues through classic Disney stories like Aladdin, Hercules, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, and The Nightmare Before Christmas! Utilizing RPG mechanics and gaining new exploratory powers throughout his adventure, Sora solidified himself as a starry-eyed hero that bridged Disney classics with a unique overarching story of friendship and courage.

Final Fantasy fans can expect appearances by famous characters such as Cloud, Selphie, Aeris, and Cid, or even the infamous fan favorite Sephiroth!

It’s a great time to get started on the series if you’re a newcomer now that this edition is being made exclusively available to PlayStation 3 with full trophy support. But long-time fans will likewise be thrilled to replay the original and see their favorite moments relived in crisp HD colors and graphics.

And the next Timeline by Gametrailers is Kingdom Hearts. Legend of Zelda was their first Timeline.

Series isn't that hard to follow.

No it fleshes out the organizations personalities and is better to play before KH2 (however game is really repetitive and barely any story development). Order should be

First time playing series:
KH1 > RECOM > 358/2 > KH2 FM+ > BBS > Recode (or skip honestly but up to you) > DDD

or

BBS > KH1 > RECOM > 358/2 > KH2 FM+ > Recode > DDD

Doesn't 358 spoil Roxas a bit too soon though? I got bored of playing it so I didn't finish, but thought it did.

Not really much to spoil honestly, going in with a better understanding of who/what roxas is probably better than going in with no clue at all. (thats how I did it my first play through of KH2, didnt even have a chance to play COM). KH2 intro feels convoluted otherwise honestly.

But that is my opinion so it's up to the player.

It also adds a ton of depth and reason for Axel and why he's doing what he's doing. The scene when he sacrifices himself for Sora, first time I played through it (before 358), it was pretty good I thought. After I went through KH2 again after 358, the scene was a crazy amount of more feels.

Also I'll take a game that I know is great and I never had much time with over a game that's still years away and might suck ass.

KH2 is the jam, with critical mode in it you finally get a chance to see that it really does have the best battle system in the series; especially with the AS and data fights.
I would love to have it HD-ified and have a really good English localization. Not knocking the patch 'cause it is pretty decent but the real deal would be better.
