It was the same ad, 33702 though for the record
get a job
kk sweet
For sure though try to track down some kind of cooler if ya can for storing food.
If you lookm on sunday they sold a pound of bacon & cheddar burgers for $5 probably could get some publx-brand buns for like $1.50 and those would hold you over for like two days lol.
How close are you to the nearest (non-polluted) body of water?
watching CS explain his situation to the "get a job" assholes every time he posts is kinda sad
Basically a combination of my availability(due to full time school) and lack of experience(and possibly the job market, but I don't read up too much on politics outside of this forum). Pretty much the least marketable candidate on any application. Would be my guess anyways. Been to numerous places, made calls, etc., can't even get an interview the vast majority of the time, yet alone hired anywhere.
Had one job I could have taken, but wasn't realistic with my course load. Applied for part time and got offered a 6 day a week overnight job, which was just too much, so I declined.
Bay Area job market is like a few pubic hairs short of Detroit's if you don't have a car + BA. Even then, you're looking at premium Part Time/Temp positions paying barely over what your gas will cost for the commute.
ouch that bites. did you go to the butcher to see if you could get a smaller portion?probably not. ya think you're really gonna need some kind of cooling system otherwise it's not gonna work really.
Didn't go to the butcher; didn't even think of it.
Dropped by another place on the way home, $.89/lb whole chickens, but all were whole chickens, so yea lol
They had chicken hearts and random organs for pretty cheap, but with that kind of selection, may as well just stick with the carton of eggs lol
Sometimes I respect that you know how to rough it, and others, I wonder how you've been doing your own thing for this long without learning how to live poor. You shied away from whole chickens because they're whole chickens? What the fuck, man. Learn how to cut those fuckers up. Get yourself a Goddamn dollar store knife if you have to and then tear those bitches apart.
Seriously, be poor correctly. Poor people are practically the only ones who eviscerate chickens. Everyone else is too prissy for that shit and buys skinned boneless breasts.
Now, if you didn't buy the chickens because they were fucking huge and 89 cents a pound became a fortune, I understand, and apologize for assuming the worst of you. However, this is where visiting the butcher may have come in handy.
Some stores extend sales like that to some of the meats at the butcher's counter. Considering, you may be able to visit the butcher, see some stuff behind glass that's partially prepped (e.g., half a chicken) but still would require some gutting (e.g., bone removal, if you care), and that you can get weighed and packaged in more affordable quantities.
EDIT: Shit, were you talking about Winn Dixie? I was gonna recommend them, as Publix was suggested, but fuck Publix, that's the rich man's supermarket. If you were, I just looked up that special, and it doesn't strictly apply to whole chickens. I was right, motherfucker. http://winndixie.mywebgrocer.com/Cir...80&uc=30D17119
It'd go bad before I ate it all. They were like 5+ lbs each lol.Sometimes I respect that you know how to rough it, and others, I wonder how you've been doing your own thing for this long without learning how to live poor. and I was just in Winn dixie, looked at the price/lb of every package of meat there, the whole chickens were the only ones under $2/lb yet alone 89 cents. If they had anything else, they were sold out
for sure go to the butcher's next time. you might even be able to call in advance just to see if they have anything. since deals last the whole week they usually put out a new batch in the morning, so go/call early.
