Yes. But people can carry over characters from the first game if they have them.

The game is being remade, so to end the world right now they're crashing a meteor into it. Well, it may not actually crash into the planet, but we'll see exactly what happens on the 11th when they show the next trailer.

The new game is only free in the sense that people who already have accounts can download the 2.0 client for free. It'll still cost new players some amount of money to purchase the game, or for anyone who wants to buy the PS3 version. It also will continue to have the monthly charge for all players, though the monthly payment scheme has changed some.

I should really refresh the page before I post. Mostly answered already.

In short: No, the game is not free-to-play (and probably never will be).

They are only doing these end-of-the-world events to explain the game's redesign with lore as well as give the people who have been playing up until now something fun and exclusive to experience.

I was logged out outside MH so no, praying gives you some effect I guess but there is no icon

You can get more then one, logged in bed for 30min or so logged back in and got Bravura. Gonna keep doing it til I get my Gae Bolg!

Got the 2 I needed went 2/3, Thyrus, Bravura, Gae Bolg. Enemies are easier to manage now with all the buffs and them getting scaled down. Praying also removes weakness effect.
