I can't recall any specific reason why you'd think that, so I'm going with "probably not."

Random shit recently learned that might be important later:
Thancred is allegedly during 17 during Echo 1.0, 25? during non-Echo 1.0 and 30?ish during 2.0*
Louisoix's son, aka the Twin's parents, is named Fourchenault.
Fourchenault holds a position of power in Sharlayan.
Sharlayan is run by a council of people; the "Forum."
The Leiveilleur family lived in the Eorzean Sharlayan colony before the evacuation following the fall of Ala Mhigo.
There's a super school in Sharlayan called the "Studium."
The aetheric blackout which rendered linkshells after Bahamut's arrival was not limited to solely Eorzea but all of Hydaelyn.
Alphinaud and Alisaie are 16 years old, which is more believable than the 17 year old Thancred.

If I recall correctly Sylvie set off on her journey six months ago which would be around the time that it gives us the player to max out the ranks for all the beastman, and Sylvie is a female and The Chosen One is a female. So it could be a stretch.

The winged lalafell and the woman next to him look draconic to me. In fact their armor really reminds me of the armor that Darnus is wearing. I wonder if these are related to third Coil at all? They did mention the "children of Bahamut" in Coil2.

edit: the more I look at it the more I think they just spoiled the Coil bosses. The flying snake (Shinryu?) and the hydra look like they're wearing "armor" that's similar to Bahamut's too.

For those that don't remember the "children of Bahamut" quote:

Alisaie: I assumed at first that he referred to the moon's beastly guardians...but should Bahamut have enslaved other mortals, we must needs remove this source of worship. Otherwise, our efforts to disable the coils shall be for naught.

Also it looks like all the dragon ladies are, well, ladies. I guess Bahamut shaping Nael into a woman might get some explanation after all.

I'm 100% sold on this and will probably be disappointed when it turns out to be nothing about the Coil at all

Yeah. As much as "Divine Might XIV edition" complete with remixed music would be awesome for one of the turns, I'm not holding out much hope.

My mans looking regal as FUCK. Solus Zos Galvus kick the bucket, perhaps? Guessing since Gaius was on his agenda and got killed because of it, no one can oppose whoever this dude is and he just swagged right on in. That or he's Solus' son or something.

Solus has no heirs if I don't remember wrong

I don't remember the exact dialogue anymore, after defeating Nael and freeing her from Bahamut's control she said something about her past, "when she was still a young girl". Doesn't that imply that she had always been a she?

I'll go grab the exact dialogue later.

Pretty sure that biographical info on Solus was mentioned in the ARR CE Waining of the Sixth Sun bonus disc.

If I remember correctly, Urianger basically came out and said that Nael was indeed a guy when he was alive so Bahamut's recreation was a perversion.
